Create a new logo design for Nurish, a subscription-based supplement service supported by the accuracy and reliability of Nature Made.

Nurish by Nature Made is a subscription service that creates personalized nutritional supplement packets full of the nourishment you need to be at your best every day. The service is convenient, but it is also backed by the quality and reliability of Nature Made. Nurish is looking for creative input on how to best link their relationship with Nature Made in their logo layout. This is less about redesigning the actual logos and more about exploring how they work together. To help them decide on a direction, they are interested in seeing two design executions: one with Nurish as a sub-brand, and then one with Nature Made as an endorsement brand.

If your design sparks enough interest, it could lead to additional work to help Nurish further explore their visual identity in conjunction with Nature Made. You can find more info on these dynamics in the background section.

DELIVERABLES:

  • 1 (300X100) Logo - Nurish featured as the sub brand in PNG & JPEG format
  • 1 (300X100) Logo - Nature Made featured as the endorsement brand in PNG & JPEG format
  • Both logos will also need to be a 300 DPI PSD for final delivery

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE: Internal use for now, but could eventually inspire future branding

TARGET AUDIENCE: Self Directed Thrivers who have had a Health & Wellness awakening; what makes them unique is that they acted upon it.

TONE: Whip Smart, Nurturing, Finger on the Pulse

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • The branding elements of Nature Made and Nurish should be left largely intact. This project is about designing a combination between Nature Made and Nurish, and does not seek to redesign the logos individually. Reference Brand Guidelines for Nature Made and Nurish for guidance.
  • You do not have to use the exact assets in the assets tab, but you may if you like. They are there for your aide, and to help you keep the Nature Made and Nurish brand identity intact.
  • Your submissions must be "1 color" designs meaning they are monochromatic, but you can utilize any single brand color you like.
  • Must be submitted in PNG & JPEG format
  • Do not zip submissions

You'll be asked to submit two sample logo designs in the Pitch Phase, along with samples of your past work. If your sample designs are selected, you will be asked to do several rounds of revisions in the Design Phase to fine tune your two logos before submitting a final high-resolution 300 DPI layered PSD of your Artwork.

The trick to this project is all about recognizing brand priority. Which is more impactful, the parent or individual brand, and how can we experiment with design to emphasize each?

Endorsement - When considering the endorsement approach, take a look at other examples to see how the parent brand is still a part of the design, but it sits in support. The parent brand (Nature Made) would not dominate the design, and it would sit as an indicator of quality like an achievement or badge of honor. Ultimately, the endorsement approach puts the parent brand as a second priority visually.

Sub-brand - Conversely, there are many design examples where we lead with the parent brand because it is more recognizable and attention-grabbing, and we position Nurish as the Sub-brand. In this strategy, we lead with the parent brand and make Nurish a modifier or clause of the familiarity we already have with Nature Made.

It will take an interesting blend to maintain the established branding of each entity while also marrying them together in these two different dynamics. Reference Brand Guidelines for Nature Made and Nurish for guidance on maintaining the brands' current aesthetics. If your design sparks enough interest, it could lead to additional work to help Nurish further explore this dynamic.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this design.

  • LOGO DESIGNS (REQUIRED): Submit two images demonstrating your approach to logos featuring Nurish as a sub-brand and Nature Made as an endorsement brand. Your submissions must be "1 color" designs meaning they monochromatic, but you can utilize any brand colors you like. While the image does not need to be 100% complete, the more polished a submission is, the more easily the sponsor will be able to understand your vision. Upload an image of your Artwork as a JPEG or PNG not zipped. Note that if you are selected, you will be required to provide a high-resolution 300 DPI layered PSD of your Artwork.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous design work.

The two most compelling designs will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creators will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the design funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Design Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Designers will perform reasonable edits on their designs according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project, illustration or design files in order to submit final payment. You are responsible for the costs associated the hard drive and shipping.

  1. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is .png or .jpg.  Should your submission be greenlit, you will also be required to provide layered design files.

  2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

  3. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal. Materials provided by WarnerMedia do not require this.

  4. BY SUBMITTING A DESIGN ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

  6. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

  7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

  8. Designs must be in the English language or subtitled.

  9. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

  10. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

  11. The Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest.

  12. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to execute the final Designs based on their prior work and experience as a designer.

  13. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished Designs without providing additional compensation. Remember it's easier to re-edit than re-shoot so try to get as much coverage as possible.

  14. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit creators MUST also provide releases for all assets appearing in their design.

  15. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
