During the entire week of Virginia Tech's big homecoming game, Army cadets from the VT ROTC Ranger Company run the game ball 100 miles all over campus shouting "GAME BALL." The more students and faculty that touch the ball, the more likely the Tech football team is to win the Homecoming game. Students go out of their way to get a chance to touch the ball as it is a huge honor. One cadet finishes the tradition by running the game ball into Lane Stadium just before kickoff!
