Create four sets of dynamic display banners to raise awareness about upcoming WW promotions.

WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) is looking for a strong graphic designer to create four sets of animated display banner ads, each tailored to key personas of potential WW users, and ultimately driving them to sign up for the program. WW has a wealth of knowledge about each persona’s psychographics, behaviors, and needs that should inform what's shown in the display ads, and this information will be shared with the greenlit designer.

Display banner ads are image (or image + graphic animation) advertisements, primarily placed on websites, where the user can click through to a brand's landing page to make a purchase (check out some effective banner ads HERE). The banner ads for WW will come in seven different sizes.

WW doesn't have a mandate on what these four banner sets need to cover – that's where your editorial judgment comes in! This might mean that one may feature a single WW member, incorporating quotes from member success stories. Or, you could choose to highlight different value propositions of the WW program. Banner sets can be completely graphic in nature, or be image-based.

WW is looking for animated display banners where the text appears on screen at different times. You will NOT be required to code the display banners in HTML5 (that will be handled separately by WW), but you will need to create boards for each banner that clearly show frame-by-frame how the text should animate on screen (similar to a GIF). After the display banners have been animated and coded, you will have the opportunity to view the final assets to ensure they look how you intended before final delivery. Examples of past WW display banner ads will be shared with the greenlit designer.

For your pitch, we're really looking at your past work, so you should make sure to share a healthy variety of relevant graphic design work (if you've designed banners in the past, please include!). It would also be helpful to know if you (or someone on your team) has copywriting skills since that will come in handy when developing copy for the display banners. In the "Copywriter Experience" section, please include examples of design work where the copy has been written either by the designer or a copywriter who will be working in tandem with the designer on this project.

Check out more information in the Background section, and for any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.
