Produce an authentic and trend-worthy social video that encourages fans to tune in to the NASCAR Salutes Races that run from the end of May through June, in honor of the American Military Community.
The NASCAR Salutes Together with Coca-Cola program is the racing industry’s opportunity to recognize the sacrifices of the brave men and women who protect our freedom, both at-home and abroad, as well as remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. They’re neighbors, friends, family members, and fellow racing fans. For a few weeks each year, the program amplifies the values and patriotism of NASCAR, kicking off at Charlotte Motor Speedway the week of May 20th, and concluding the week of Nashville, June 30th. You can read more about NASCAR's efforts with this campaign here.
The goal of this project is to find multiple different filmmakers who can each create a single :15-:30 video for social media showcasing
how NASCAR and the NASCAR Salutes program show appreciation for the military and celebrate active and retired military members who are NASCAR fans. We will be looking to promote tuning in for 3 races, the Coca-Cola 600, Sonoma Raceway, and Nashville, so we may have a creator create a video for all 3 races or find multiple filmmakers to execute on each race. Your videos can focus on the the individual races or on NASCAR Salutes as a whole. We want content that leads with you want to lead with the fun, cleverness, and humor, you want to lead with the fun, cleverness, and humor, but "not lose sight of the fact" of the respect and admiration, but not lose sight of the Salutes program and treat it with respect and admiration. Your videos should be engaging, and clever; humor is encouraged, and an authentic tone, look, and feel is important. If your video feels too much like an ad, it's probably not going to work, and you should check out some of the previous videos in the Background for helpful references.
Creatively, this is otherwise very open-ended, and we'd encourage editors, animators, and live action filmmakers alike to pitch. You should look for ways to lean into military appreciation, patriotism, the fan experience (flyovers, bands, etc.), and of course the intense competition and on-track action that comes with every NASCAR race. We encourage you to tap into relevant trends or find ways to activate splashy opportunities to grab the attention of potential NASCAR viewers. You can also use relevant content from previous NASCAR races if you find something good on YouTube. Lean into social tropes, memes, trendy sounds and catchy editing or unique transition techniques. Look at relevant TikTok trends, and think about the ways you can use stickers, text, or other native TikTok features to make your video stand out. There is a possibility that NASCAR could choose to have you create more than one video so we encourage you to include multiple creative concepts or video executions in your pitch.

In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
