Is the story of a woman from Veracruz, who from her very modest origin manages to turn her dreams into reality. Proving that it is possible to do everything you want with commitment and dedication. One of those dreams fulfilled was to have been chosen as a candidate to go to space in 1985, when Mexico announced the contest, where Dr. Rodolfo Neri Vela, considered the first Mexican astronaut, was the winner.
Juanita was one of the 16 Mexican women semifinalists of that contest, selected to go to space. Thus becoming a pioneer, together with these other women, in opening the gap for the female sex in a field dominated by men.
