Produce a fresh, cheeky, and refreshingly direct live action social video for Lume Deodorant to help convince women to switch over use Lume as their full time deodorant.
When it comes to deodorants, it's easy to get stuck in a cycle of workarounds—reapplying mid-day, packing a backup shirt, showering the second you get home, all just to keep the odor at bay. Many traditional antiperspirants might keep you dry, but still leave odor behind. Lume changes that. They are a doctor-developed personal care brand that doesn't just mask odor with fragrance, they stop it before it starts. Now, Lume is looking to spread the word about their latest product.
For this video, Lume is looking for a capable creator to produce a confident, cheeky, and refreshingly direct-to-camera social video that breaks down the effectivity of their latest formula, Lume Deodorant + Sweat Control. As a brand, Lume prides itself on speaking to people with honesty, humor, and boldness. They want people to feel like they're in on the journey of discovering a new type of deodorant that actually solves the route of the odor issue, so more than anything this content needs to feel real and authentic. It cannot feel scripted, so when ideating your concept we encourage you plan for more of an "unscripted" organic social approach to the video.
Since this is purely a live action project, and since we're looking for a simple, straightforward approach, the tone for this video will be key. This video will be living purely on social channels (most prominently YouTube Shorts), so you need to present a concept to Lume that has thumb-stopping potential. It shouldn't feel polished or clinical, but instead work to make sweat and odor control a surprisingly fun and relatable conversation.
Lume is a brand made largely for women who lead busy lives. Professionals, parents, commuters, travelers - women who look for long-lasting freshness. So in terms of casting, the theme remains the same - we want to cast a woman anywhere from 25-40 who feels authentic, leads a busy life on the go, and has a witty sense of humor. They are not required to be a user of Lume deodorant, but it's definitely a bonus if they do. Either way, they need to be able to portray the highlights of this brand with confidence.
For this project, once a filmmaker is selected, they will be put directly in contact with the sponsor. All communication and feedback between both parties will run through the Tongal platform.

Lume is a doctor-developed personal care brand known for one thing above all: outrageously effective odor control. They are odor control experts—and they don’t mask odor with fragrance, they stop it before it starts.
HELPFUL REFERENCE VIDEOS FOR INSPIRATION/TONE:
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
PRE-PRODUCTION BIBLE & APPROVALS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST prepare a singular pre-production “bible” document with the elements contained below, and that document MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor. We recommend that you use the bible template we provide HERE, or something very similar. The bible can be presented in stages as different elements are ready for review (i.e. it's not expected that storyboard, if required, are ready with your first draft). Apart from the below, you’re also welcome to include other key items that you think would be helpful to communicate your plan (e.g. moodboards, lighting, music, shot list, etc.).
If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.
For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.
