Edit a suite of six :15 digital marketing videos and design two YouTube overlay images to promote the LEGO World Builder platform using existing assets.

The goal of this project is to drive awareness of the LEGO World Builder platform by creating short digital videos that focus on two different messages: 1) LEGO World Builder lets you pitch original stories, themes, shows, and more directly to The LEGO Group, and if they love your idea, it may be purchased and you'll be rewarded; and 2) LEGO World Builder is a platform that allows for creative collaboration within its unique online community of LEGO fans, writers, animators, storytellers, and more.

The greenlit editor will ultimately create six digital videos, as well as two YouTube overlay images, based on these two main messages. Additional assets, scripts, and details will be provided to the greenlit editor, but in the meantime, you can use the assets provided here to create a short sample video, up to :15 in length, that communicates the below message:

Sample Video Messaging:

LEGO World Builder lets you pitch original stories, themes, shows, and more directly to The LEGO Group. If we fall in love with your creations, they could be purchased and your ideas could become the next big LEGO franchise! Get creative and join the community today!

You don't need to follow this script exactly, but your sample video should communicate those key ideas. Think about how you could use kinetic text and motion graphics to convey the key messaging points without putting too much text on screen at any given time.

DELIVERABLES: 8 total deliverables:

  • One :15 Message 1 Video (16x9, 4x5, 9x16)
  • One Message 1 YouTube overlay (480x70 pixels)
  • One :15 Message 2 Video (16x9, 4x5, 9x16)
  • One Message 2 YouTube overlay (480x70 pixels)

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Adult Fans of LEGO (a.k.a AFOLs) and the LEGO World Builder creative community.
  • Self-described AFOLs make up a demographically diverse network of communities that can be found in nearly every corner of the world. Their interests vary wildly, from stop-motion brick filmmaking to building custom brick designs. What unites them all is their passion for LEGO and the creative possibilities that come with building and imagining with LEGO bricks.

TONE: The tone is wide open, but we encourage you to think about what would be appealing to potential site users that would encourage them to sign up and make an LEGO World Builder account.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Please use the provided assets to edit your sample video.
  • Videos should be :15 seconds or less.
  • Leverage on-screen text to reinforce messaging, and make sure the text is big enough to be seen in mobile.
  • On-screen copy should be no more than 125 characters total in a single frame, preferably fewer.
  • Use creative text to convey what the video is for and grab the viewer's attention within the first 5 seconds.

LEGO World Builder gives the LEGO fan community and creative talent all over the world direct access to the LEGO creative team to develop stories, shows and more. It’s just one more way you can pitch directly to The LEGO Group, aside from Tongal. With so many talented creators on the platform, there’s a need to spread the word and encourage more users to sign up!

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your Pitch submission:

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or fewer synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • SAMPLE VIDEO (REQUIRED):  Please submit ONE sample video based on the information provided in the Objectives section utilizing the provided assets. (Download the provided assets here).

The most compelling Pitch will be greenlit, and upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note the payment of the Pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets tab.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Editors will perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor's feedback.
