Promote the thriller series Killing Eve for North American audiences by editing together clips from the previous four seasons -- all which will be available to stream on BritBox soon.
When it comes to captivating spy thrillers, Killing Eve stands out as a modern masterpiece. Featuring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, the series is renowned for its gripping characters, intricate cat-and-mouse plots, and unexpected narrative turns. Its ability to blend espionage with dark humor has made it a favorite among viewers, leading to widespread acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. It's a binge-worthy experience that deserves attention -- and North American audiences can now turn to BritBox for an exclusive lineup of Killing Eve episodes. It's time to get people excited.
We're looking for an editor to create a :30 recap video that edits together a mega mix of scenes from all four seasons. This edit should be as action-packed as possible, and it must include clips from every season. It should work whether viewers are already familiar and just catching up, or whether they're diving in for the first time, and it should let them know that BritBox offers the complete collection of Killing Eve, ready for your next binge-watch session. In addition to the action, the series is filled with gripping twists and dark humor, so you should be sure to include some amazing quotes from the main characters too. Importantly, your content will play on streaming platforms and could be skippable, so you need to make sure to captivate viewers from the start and ensure you feature Jodie Comer within the first 5 seconds of the video. You will also need to provide two versions of the videos, the main edit and video itself will be the same, but we will need to swap out the CTA at the end of the video.
Craft your edit to be gripping and provoking, taking viewers on an unexpected supercut of the most compelling and darkly humorous moments from the series. You can go about this in a few ways, so you might consider piecing together a storyline based on some of the best quotes from the show, or you might use common themes to connect with the audience, or you might forge your own path. Regardless, you should try to incorporate some unexpected twists and turns to keep audience attention. Pacing is important too, but your edit really needs to feel seamless, so think about trying to establish some consistency in the cuts through dialogue and messaging, sound, music, or another key element.
We'd also encourage you to think of ways that you can incorporate additional imagery, graphics, or text, like in this previous video, intercutting footage with themed-graphics to captivate the audience and communicate messaging. If you're including VO or text, you may want to consider why and how entertaining the show can be. Importantly, you can ONLY use the trailer assets provided, in the Assets link below, and you CANNOT use the music included in scenes, just he dialogue or sound effects within them. Considering the videos will also be reframed for 9x16 and 1x1, you should think about how you will reframe for those aspect ratios and how you may want to make slight edits to make these cuts work for where they will be living on social.
Critically, you must also work within the Adobe Suite for this project, and for your pitch submission, we're looking for you to edit a :15-:30 sample video to display how you would cut together the different clips dynamically and interestingly.
