I dig holes to plant seeds, he digs holes for other reasons. I dangle from trees because I'm trimming branches, he dangles from trees just for the trill and because he likes the view from up there. I stare at plants hoping they'll grow, and he stares at gopher holes hoping something will pop out. To tell you the truth, he isn't much help when tending the garden, but he will always sacrifice sleeping in late on the weekend to join me outside. He's my gardening buddy, and he makes hard work fun.
