Create a suite of eye-catching static images, in English and Spanish, that demonstrate the advantages Hispanic communities have when they switch to T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is looking to the Tongal community once again to create more eye-catching graphics for their own employees to post on their social media channels. T-Mobile employees want to be able to share all the great new benefits the company offer, but when they do decide to share they want to post content that is thumb stopping, distinctive and all around cool. Especially when the new offers they are talking about will bring individuals even closer to their friends and family. T-Mobile now has special offers for those in Latin America and in Hispanic communities which include no data roaming charges, unlimited texts and calls, and they have made it easier than ever for their customers to switch to T-Mobile by using their Matricula Consular Card, which is an identity card that Mexican consulates issue to Mexican citizens who reside outside of Mexico.

We need four static images with the color, energy, and vibrance to support the new offers, so we are looking for the most skilled illustrators, designers, and creators to make this messaging exciting and impactful. For these static images, T-Mobile has provided four headlines to feature in the Background. Each headline needs its own static, and all of the static images should feel like they're part of the same series, BUT that doesn't mean every static should look the same or use the same style. Once you have created all four static images, you will also need to translate all copy and any disclaimer language into Spanish. While you will be using both languages, your graphics should speak for themselves and remind people that switching to T-Mobile can help them easily connect with loved ones and help them to stay connected even if they are far away in a Latin American country.

We're aiming for graphics that feels a modern, slick, engaging, and polished. Keep in mind that T-Mobile is a tech-forward company, so we need dynamic illustrations that have a thrilling and energizing aesthetic - perhaps even a little unexpected playfulness, but nothing that you'd really call "quirky" or "corporate." These images should all be custom-made unique assets, although they should feel like part of one coherent suite. Your messaging should be pretty simple and straightforward - we want the artistry of the asset to shine, and hook audiences, so the key message lands. We expect that you'll want to lean heavily on 2D animation and mixed media styles, and 3D if it makes sense, along with some clever use of typography. For your pitch, we highly encourage that you submit a proof of concept / first draft of an image asset along with your Treatment and check out links in the Background to see what T-Mobile's has created lately. This is primarily for T-Mobile employees to share too; they will do so on their personal social media accounts for their family, friends, and professional contacts.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

DELIVERABLES: There are 8 total photo assets.

  • Four static images (1x1, in both English & Spanish)

TIMELINE: HERE

EXPOSURE: We anticipate content will be used on the platforms listed below, but if casting talent, please be sure your talent reviews the required Talent Release, as it is not limited to these platforms. You should also review our Music providers in the Project Requirements, as well as the platform best practices page.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Employees' friends, family, business contacts, and social networks. This runs the gamut because we're talking about both corporate and in-store employees, so go for broad appeal.

TONE:

  • Modern, energetic, unexpected, dynamic, polished, cool, relevant, edgy.
  • Stay away from anything that feels sales-y.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • The primary logo to use is the full T-Mobile logo.
  • Always make Magenta (#E20074) the hero color in designs.
  • Other primary brand colors are Dark Magenta (#861B54), Dark Gray (#6A6A6A), Light Gray (#E8E8E8), Black (#000000), and White (#FFFFFF).
  • The official brand font is TeleNeo; the font will be provided to the selected creator.
  • Your video should avoid competitor colors (e.g. Verizon's reds, AT&T's blues).

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects on our platform do move forward, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

T-MOIBLE OFFERINGS AND KEY MESSAGING: Your images should contain the following headlines with the included offers messaging.

  2. Stay Connected: Unlimited calls and texts to and from Mexico and the U.S.

  4. Getting Connected Easier: Just bring your driver’s license, student visa, state ID or Matricula Consular card.

PREVIOUS T-MOBILE CONTENT: This is some of the recent video and image content created on Tongal, and they're all great examples of the style we're looking for, but still showcase how much diversity is possible.

  • Previous Evergreen Offers Video #1 & Image #1 - This isn't the only approach, but it's precisely what we mean when we say modern, stylish, and tech-forward in design aesthetic.
  • Previous Evergreen Offers Video #2 & Image #2 - This illustrated approach is about as playful as we can go.
  • Asian American Heritage Quote Video & Static Image - Look at how vibrant and fluidly energetic this is, and how the artistry shines through in an unexpected way, with a very modern feel.
  • Benefits & Sustainability Video & Static Image - This is a good example of how a mixed media / motion graphic approach can bring the same kind of electric energy, showcasing some abstract artistry in its design elements to make the image feel lively without being cluttered.
  • T-Mobile Tuesdays Video - Even with a more playful illustrated approach, the contrasting colors, funk beat, and constant motion elevate the feel of this asset.
  • Super Security New Product Video - This video is simply promoting a security camera, but it packs a LOT of personality and tremendous amounts of energy, so it's really surprising and fun, and the sort of pulpy comic book detective vibe fits the security theme well.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed out in the Deliverables.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A more detailed and specific description of how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables, both in terms of what we can expect to see, and how you’ll make it. If it's helpful to you, we've provided a treatment template, which you can find here.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • PROOF-OF-CONCEPT ARTWORK (Optional): If you want, you may create a proof of concept showing how you'd approach design if greenlit. Upload an image of your Artwork in either PNG or JPG format.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show them what you're capable of. Consider submitting a pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your pitch. For some examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery. All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.

PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to shooting, filmmakers must receive the below approvals from the Sponsor.

  • TREATMENT  This project requires treatment approval. The treatment should describe how you plan to execute the video and how you plan to bring the storytelling to life visually. The Sponsor may provide feedback on your treatment and ask you to submit a new version. There may be up to multiple rounds of feedback until a treatment is approved by the Sponsor.

For your convenience, we’ve provided some helpful templates to use at your discretion. They include templates for creating a treatment, production budget, storyboards, shot list, call sheet, and a music cue sheet. Additionally, there are templates that will help you clearly present cast, location, and wardrobe options to the Sponsor. They can all be accessed here.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Tongal supports inclusivity in all of our productions and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS & RESOURCES: Once the Video Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback. Check out our Filmmaker Resource Portal to access helpful post-production resources like Text-Safe Guides for different platforms, Project File Organization Tutorial, Export Presets, and Captioning services.

STOCK FOOTAGE: Tongal has partnered with the stock footage library STORYBLOCKS, which can be used to source video clips, photography, and After Effects templates for your video submission to this project. Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and content will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may not use any audio.

If you intend to use Storyblocks, inform your Tongal producer beforehand, and an account will be created for you to access the library and its features. Once your video submissions are approved by the Sponsor, you must provide a complete list of all Storyblocks content that you used via our template HERE.
