Produce an energetic and creative series of short Recipe Videos that demonstrate how people can incorporate AdvantEDGE Lean 15 Protein Powder into meals to help manage hunger and Get Lean + Toned.

Exercise may already be a part of the routine, but fitness doesn’t end there – when you’re looking to get lean and toned you also need to invest time in the kitchen, to manage nutrition with smart meal planning and food prep. It’s not always easy though, and everyone’s got busy lives, so EAS AdvantEDGE is there to help with Lean 15, a satisfying high-protein powder that can be mixed into snacks to help manage hunger, calories, and carbs. It only takes 15 minutes to whip up something tasty, and with 15g of protein, only 90 calories, less than a gram of sugar, and 5g of fiber, Lean 15 can help active dieters feel fuller longer, and be at their best.

This begs the question, what do you make with Lean 15? EAS is looking to you to answer that, with a series of energetic and creative recipe videos for Facebook and Instagram about delicious snacks that incorporate Lean 15. Originality and creativity are key here – we’ve all seen plenty of recipe videos, so EAS wants something really fresh that can be ownable for the brand. That might even mean stop-motion animation - they’re open to different interpretations, and they’ll provide the recipes, so you just need to provide the vision and the production expertise.

Here is a rundown of the project:

  • This project will consistent of two main Phases: the Pitch Phase, and the Video Phase.

  • For the Pitch Phase, you don’t need to select any particular recipes – you just need to lay out your creative vision for an original and creative recipe video.

  • Recipes have been provided by EAS and are available in the Assets section if you want to review in advance of pitching.

  • Your recipe videos should be delivered in 1:1 aspect ratio for Facebook & Instagram, and you should not rely on sound alone to communicate any important information.

  • Although we want something original and creative, your video still needs to get the job done as a recipe video, with clearly defined ingredients and directions for each step.

  • Your Videos must incorporate the Brand and the Product at least one time, and they should always end with a branded element, along with the tagline “Get Lean + Toned” or call to action "Take 15. Get Lean."

  • In addition to your Recipe Videos, you’ll need to provide a GIF for each video (8 total), along with 3 Still Photos per video (24 total)

  • A Food Stylist is required, and we’d recommend including your top choice for a food stylist in your Treatment.

What is Required to Submit your initial Pitch:

  • Text: 500 characters or less with a short synopsis explaining to EAS how you’re going to bring these Recipes to life.
  • Links to Previous Work: Please specify your role.
  • Treatment: Please provide a document with a detailed narrative description of what’s going to happen in the video, how it’s going to look and feel, along with any visual and tonal references, and mood boards. If it’s helpful to you, we’ve provided a Treatment template, which you can find here.

Check out more details below.

The goal is to create an energetic, fresh, and engaging Series of eight (8) 30-60-second Recipe Videos for Facebook and Instagram that demonstrate how easy it is to incorporate AdvantEDGE Lean 15 into meals and snacks, to help people manage hunger and Get Lean + Toned. Each of your Videos should be accompanied by one (1) GIF, and three (3) Still Photos. EAS has provided recipes, which are available and included in the Assets section.

In terms of inspiration, check out some of the direct competition so you know what’s been done: Tasty videos are a classic jumping off point, and represent one potential approach; you can also look at these Questify videos, which bring more style to the format. These are NOT the only directions open to you, and while the EAS team does want you to use some overhead shots and incorporate all recipe steps in a clear and concise way, they are open to different creative styles, so think about what you’d do differently to stand out, and know that we’re looking for your ability to execute a repeatable format in an inspiring, clean, modern, healthy, and energetic tone.

NOTE: The eight (8) 30-60-second videos and (8) corresponding GIF cut-downs should be provided in 1:1 aspect ratio, and those assets, along with the 24 total Still Photos, are all due at the close of the Video Phase.

PRE-PRODUCTION NOTE: This project includes a Pre-Production Phase (What is a Pre-Production Phase?), which means you’ll be required to submit certain items for Approval before moving on to the Video Phase. These items are:

  • STORYBOARD – You must submit a storyboard that reflects your approach to the Video, and includes the entirety of your script. The brand may provide feedback on your storyboard and ask you to submit a new version of the storyboard.
  • FOOD STYLIST – You must submit your top choice for a Food Stylist, along with some of their past work, so EAS can sign off. You may be asked to submit a new Food Stylist option if the brand does not approve.

IMPORTANT: You may not begin shooting your Series until you receive a greenlight from the EAS team. If you begin shooting your Series during the Pre-Production, there is a chance you will need to reshoot (at your own expense), so please don’t jump the gun.

--Deliverables Due:

  • 8 Videos, in 1:1 aspect ratio, :30-:60 in length
  • Each w/ 1:1 GIF cut-down (8 total)
  • Each w/ 3 still photos (24 total)

--Key Takeaways:

  • The Videos should show how easy it is to incorporate AdvantEDGE Lean 15 into tasty snacks for their meal plan, to help them stay on track, managing their hunger, calories, and carbs as they confidently work towards their health and fitness goals.
  • You should also get across that AdvantEDGE Lean 15 tastes delicious.
  • Product Tagline: “Get Lean + Toned” or...
  • Call to Action: "Take 15. Get Lean."

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Videos should use the Recipes provided by the brand in the Assets section.
  • Be sure to clearly show the incorporation of 1 scoop/1 serving of Lean 15 powder (or more depending on recipe) at time of addition. You must incorporate Branding (AdvantEDGE Lean 15) and Product (Tub or Bag should be shown) at least one time during the video.
  • You must include protein and calories and carbohydrates per serving on the finished recipe.
  • You should incorporate a variety of skin tones for any hands seen making the recipes.
  • You must include the ingredients, process, and finished product in the video.
  • Videos must end with branded element and Tagline or CTA.

--Target Audience:

People who are motivated to lose weight and get more fit, but who feel that the choices can be overwhelming. They think that successful weight loss requires a high protein, low calorie diet along with exercise, but also think that they’re too busy to adhere to a weight loss program. They believe that if they can find solutions that are prescriptive and simple, they won’t fail, and they really care about taste too.

--Tone:

  •  Think fresh, clean, modern, healthy, energetic, simple, and refreshing
  • Avoid anything that feels too much like “cheerleading,” overbearing, condescending, flashy, or goofy

--Exposure:

  • The Videos are intended for use on Facebook and Instagram

This Project will be worth a total of $28K and consist of four Phases: a Pitch Phase, a Pre-Production Phase, a Video Phase, and a Revisions Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute these Videos.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.
  • Treatment (REQUIRED): A detailed narrative description of what’s going to happen in the Video. If it’s helpful to you, we’ve provided a Treatment template, which you can find here.
  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the Video you intend to create.
  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.
  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you’re capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The one (1) most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $14,000 to help create the Videos. Additionally, upon submitting Videos that satisfy the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, you will also be GUARANTEED an additional $14,000. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: PRE-PRODUCTION – This project includes a Pre-Production Phase (What is a Pre-Production Phase?), which means you’ll be required to submit certain items for Approval before moving on to the Video Phase.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The Winner will create eight (8) episodes for the Series, including eight (8) 1:1 GIF cut-downs, and 24 still images (3 per video).

--Video Phase Payout: The Winner of the Video Phase will earn $14,000. There are no residuals on this project.

--Music: Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Jingle Punks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

Tongal members interested in a custom music solution for your project are invited to connect with SCORE A SCORE. They specialize in the creation of custom music, on-demand. Their business model is based on a "name your price" system, so you can tell them what your budget is, and they will work with you to create a deal configuration that will work within the discussed parameters. Check out the FAQ for more information and how to contact SCORE A SCORE.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

PHASE 4: REVISIONS – Once the Video Phase has closed, the winning submitter will enter the Revisions Phase (What is a Revisions Phase?). During this phase, filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback. Once the Videos are finalized, the Sponsor will rank the Videos and winners will be announced.

  1. The Videos MUST not exceed 60 seconds in length. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is HD 720p 16x9. Acceptable file formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv. Acceptable codecs are H.264 (MP4), MPEG-4, H.263, MPGV, WMV, DivX. Should you win, you will also be required to provide a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec

  2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

  3. In the event you utilize any third party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.

  4. BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

  1. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

  2. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

  3. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor determine the final rank order.

  4. Videos must be in the English language or subtitled.

  5. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

  6. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

  7. In the event that fewer than 75 Pitches are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.

  1. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Pitches will also be evaluated on that member’s ability to execute the final Video based on their prior work and experience as a filmmaker.

  2. The Sponsor will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished Videos without providing additional compensation. Remember it’s easier to re-edit than re-shoot so try to get as much coverage as possible.

  3. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, winning Video creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their winning Videos, as well as a photograph/headshot OR copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases. You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec to claim your prize.

  4. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
