Create a live action video showcasing the benefits of Cortizone-10's new Fast-Acting Itch Relief Cooling Spray, which provides relief for itch on the go.
While it's winter now, soon we'll be heading towards spring, which means more time outdoors, and when people spend more time outdoors, it often means more instances of itching from things like poison ivy, insect bites, grass irritation, and more. To help people stay prepared for unwanted itches, the team at Cortizone-10 wants to create a suite of live action video content that showcases the benefits of their new Fast-Acting Itch Relief Cooling Spray, which provides 1% hydrocortisone relief on the go.
The goal here is to create a single :30 live action video with some supporting cutdowns, and the content will be used to introduce audiences to this product, so we'll want to balance delivering key information with an upbeat and engaging narrative or scenario that keeps people watching. The product should be presented as something that people should keep in their bags when doing something outdoors, so they're prepared and protected against any unwanted itches. In terms of the narrative or the scenario that your video revolves around, you should think about a relevant and relatable outdoor situation - something along the lines of a backyard BBQ, a soccer game, a picnic, etc. You should avoid anything that feels like an "extreme" activity, so stick to more casual and common experiences instead.
It will also help to keep in mind that since this product features an easy, no-mess spray, it's ideal for applying when on the go, and that type of application should factor into your creative approach. In terms of the cause of the itch, we'll want to lean into things like poison ivy or bug bites, rather than something like eczema, and that may impact your narrative. When showing an itch, you will need to show someone scratching an affected area, but you should also consider using a graphic overlay (e.g. a red circle) to highlight the irritation, rather than using a close-up or something like that.
Tonally, they're open to bringing in light, family-friendly humor, but you should avoid anything overly slapstick. This product is designed for people ages 2+, so we can depict a parent with a child using the product, or stick to an adult only, depending on what works best for your concept. Lastly, you'll see that there are several social cutdowns, and while you'll be able to derive these cutdowns from the hero video, you'll need two unique cutdowns from the main hero, not just one, and this might require a few extra shots to ensure that the cutdowns work well. You'll also want to think strategically about how you are shooting content so that it can work for multiple aspect ratios.
In your treatment, please break down your concept for your hero video, and describe the type of outdoor location and character(s) you would feature. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects do move forward, we'll notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and project team.
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
