Bring the tagline "Kick off with Camarena" to life by creating a bold, fourth-wall-breaking motion graphics video for Camarena Tequila, designed to ambush the upcoming soccer hype and stop people in their tracks on digital kiosks.
With the World Cup coming to North America for the first time in over three decades, the excitement is building, and Camarena Tequila is ready to get in on the action. To tap into the upcoming excitement, and capitalize on their existing connection with soccer fans, Camarena wants to create a clever motion graphics video that will run on digital kiosks in major host cities, positioning the brand as the unofficial spirit of the tournament.
The goal of this project is to create a single, soccer-themed motion graphics video that breaks the fourth wall in a way that directly engages viewers both out-of-home and in a browser, playing with the 3D space of the digital screen to create a truly memorable illusion. We need a motion graphics artist with a savvy style to create something that feels as though it's literally breaking out of the physical ad space, whether it's playing on a city kiosk or a phone screen. The video must feature the tagline "Kick off with Camarena," and while the effect should be surprising, the brand must remain the hero. The ultimate goal is to drive brand recognition and drive viewers to purchase Camarena Tequila for their World Cup watch parties, so you'll need to ensure the Camarena bottle, logo, and signature margarita are integral to the action, not just a backdrop.
This video is all about creating a visual surprise that stops people in their tracks and makes them look twice. Although this has to be soccer-themed in some way, there's openness in the actual conceptual approach to this, and you should think about what elements could "break" the plane and how the effect would function. To help get your creative wheels turning, the Camarena team has provided a specific thought-starter in the Background, which you are welcome to build upon, or use as a jumping-off point for your own unique idea. Think about how players move, think about the energy in a kick, or the impact of a ball, and however you approach it, just know that your actual execution should feel premium and polished, blending dynamic motion with product renders to make the moment feel tangible.
In the assets linked below, you'll find a full suite of brand elements, including logos and product imagery. We want to see how you can use these assets to build a world that feels both authentic to Camarena and disruptive in the advertising space. If greenlit, you'll also be given access to Storyblocks for any generic visuals you need such as soccer balls, players, or other related elements. Ultimately, while the creative concept is yours to define, the most successful pitches will demonstrate a clear understanding of how a bold, attention-grabbing visual can translate directly into capturing attention for tequila drinkers and soccer enthusiasts. We're looking for ideas that are not only clever but also on brand, further contributing to making Camarena Tequila synonymous with the energy of the world's most popular sport.
It is critical to note that the primary deliverables for this project are for digital out-of-home kiosks, which use very specific and non-standard vertical aspect ratios. You must design your animation with these unique dimensions in mind from the very beginning, though a 1x1 version for social will also be required. The final piece should be set to an uptempo music track and conclude with the official "Camarena Tequila" audio mark which will be provided. There will be no VO or dialogue beyond this, so no need to worry about casting for this project.
For your pitch, please bring us a unique creative concept that fulfills the key requirements and detail how your specific animation style will bring the brand's bold, unapologetic, and clever tone to life. To help the Sponsor fully grasp your vision, we strongly encourage you to include a style frame, storyboard, or even a brief animatic in your pitch, making use of the provided brand assets. Feel free to pitch more than one idea, as the final concept will be chosen by the brand as we move this project into pre-production.

EXPOSURE: We expect content will be used on the platforms below, but if casting talent, be sure they review our required Talent Release before they're cast, as we CANNOT guarantee that usage is limited to these platforms. TARGET AUDIENCE:
TONE/FEEL: Eye-catching, dynamic, bold.
EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:
Camarena Tequila is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the rich volcanic soil of the Arandas Highlands in Mexico, where the high altitude and slow maturation process create complex, flavorful agave. The brand combines traditional and modern techniques to produce its award-winning tequila. This includes using stone ovens for cooking, a proprietary yeast strain for fermentation, and copper pot stills alongside a special tequila column still for distillation. The balance of these methods ensures that Camarena Tequila consistently delivers high-quality spirits, highlighting the patience and precision that go into every bottle.

CREATIVE THOUGHT-STARTER:
To get your creative wheels turning, the Camarena team wanted to share their initial thoughts as to how this video may come to life. You are by no means limited to this idea, but it's a great example of the kind of direct, fourth-wall-breaking action they're excited by.
The video would begin with what looks like a static ad: the Camarena logo and a bottle of tequila next to a freshly made margarita, all set against the backdrop of a soccer stadium. The scene comes to life as a nondescript soccer player steps into frame and kicks a silver soccer ball that soars over the bottle and appears to smash through the screen.
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors. Unless specifically requested, there's no need to include a budget with your submission.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
PRE-PRODUCTION BIBLE & APPROVALS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST prepare a singular pre-production "bible" document with the elements contained below, and that document MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor. We recommend that you use the bible template we provide HERE, or something very similar. The bible can be presented in stages as different elements are ready for review (i.e. it's not expected that storyboards, if required, are ready with your first draft). Apart from the below, you're also welcome to include other key items that you think would be helpful to communicate your plan (e.g. moodboards, lighting, music, shot list, etc.).
Note that there may be multiple rounds of feedback until elements are approved, and if you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.
For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.

Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may NOT use any audio.
If you intend to use Storyblocks, inform your Tongal producer, and an account will be created for you to access the library. Once assets are approved for delivery, you must provide a complete list of all Storyblocks content that you used via our template HERE.
