Create a suite of welcoming digital Postcard-style motion graphics videos, GIFs, and still images that celebrate the latest exclusive subscription plan available to BritBox customers, as well as their upcoming original series: The Lady.
Fans of British TV already know and love BritBox for being a hub for their favorite British shows. The all-new BritBox Premier is a higher-tier annual subscription plan for the British TV super-fans who want early releases, 4K UHD streaming, and access across multiple devices for some shows, as well as mobile downloads for bingeing on the go. While Premier is available to any BritBox subscriber who's ready to level up, BritBox wants to create a digital image, GIF, and motion graphics video asset that will be sent to an exclusive group of current Premier subscribers, to get them excited for all of the new benefits available with the next version of Premier. This suite of assets will be based on one of three potential concepts promoting BritBox Premier, as well as BritBox's next tentpole series: The Lady.
Late last year, BritBox turned to Tongal to create a delightful digital postcard to help announce and celebrate Premier; they're looking for a skilled motion graphics animator/editor who can create three unique concepts for suites of motion-graphics based content that promote BritBox Premier in general or BritBox's new original series, The Lady. The three concepts should include one that promotes BritBox Premier as a brand, and two that explore The Lady as a theme (one that explores a "found artifact" flat-lay concept, and the other should explore a different creative way to explore the show theme). From these three concepts, BritBox will choose one concept to move forward with for the creation of a :15 motion graphics video, along with a GIF, and a static image.
In your treatment, you should outline a concept for each postcard category. For the "found artifact" postcard suite for The Lady, think of a handwritten note from a show character, palace-esque formal letterhead, a diary page, personal shopping items such as store tags or receipts, a flat-lay desk composition with items teasing the plot, or even a “late 80s” magazine clipping with a job listing for The Lady. Think about what will resonate with and delight viewers. All three of your motion graphics suites should deliver small, unexpected digital moments that thank BritBox Premier subscribers for their loyalty. Ultimately, your BritBox Premier and The Lady postcards should reinforce what subscribers already love about Premier, and remind them that Premier is a place where discernment is noticed and rewarded. We want customers to stay longer, explore deeper, click through to the Premier Hub, and even potentially share the assets with friends.
In terms of style, you should refer to the Surprise and Delight Moodboard, which provides references to the style the BritBox team is looking for as well as examples of previous executions around this campaign. These assets will be made for viewers who prefer smart, crafted storytelling and who want to feel like they are in on something exclusive and who value experiences that reward their attention. You should reinterpret “more of what you love” as story-world artifacts: ephemera that feels discovered, not distributed. Think of items a superfan would keep in their own collection. And because their audience loves hidden gems, details, and clues, these should be made to tap into the collector psychology—the pleasure of noticing, saving, and revisiting. You will also need to include copy in your assets, something similar to BritBox's previous execution, “Thank you for sharing your love of British TV with us. We’re so happy you’re here!”
As a part of your pitch, you can create a :10-:15 motion graphics video to serve as a proof of concept for how you would approach one of the deliverables listed. This isn't a requirement in order to pitch, but can help illustrate your concept more effectively. Your proof-of-concept should illustrate one of the visual approaches outlined in your treatment, and should follow the style guidelines set forth in the Suprise and Delight Moodboard. This is an opportunity to highlight both your motion graphics skills, and your understanding of the brief.

AI USAGE: You may not use AI generated visual or audio assets in your final content. However, for the purposes of your pitch and pre-production materials, you are welcome to use generative AI to create visuals, storyboards, animatics, proofs-of-concept, etc. that might help the Sponsor understand your vision for creating the final content. Additionally, assistive AI tools (e.g. object removal, compositing, color grading, sound mixing, subtitling, etc.) may be used in post-production to supplement your workflow. Please keep record of any AI usage deployed in your submissions in the event that the Sponsor requests AI disclosures. If you have questions about any specific usage or tool, please ask your Tongal producer.
By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects do move forward, we'll notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and project team.
BritBox Premier Postcard Example (from November 2025)
The Lady is an upcoming four-part, original BritBox series. The series is a partly fictionalized drama that depicts the true life story of the rise and fall of former royal dresser Jane Andrews, who rose from humble beginnings to work for Sarah Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Duchess of York prior to being convicted of the murder of her boyfriend, Thomas Cressman, in 2001.
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors. Unless specifically requested, there's no need to include a budget with your submission.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
