Background Music otherwise known as BGM, is a key factor in communicating too audience and viewers through film, Tv shows and commercials... Picking the right BGM can sometimes be a challenge for most animators and film makers, and in some cases a choice is made without proper consideration as to if it is a perfect match for the project as regards the scenery and message that is to be depicted. Some of the key things to note when choosing a BGM Includes:
1. The mood/intensity of the scene.
2. The Genre of the production & the Music.
3. The message that is to be communicated.
4. The Tempo of the Music.
I am an indie animator/game developer with... I haven't done any major hits yet but I certainly will, but I have worked on quite a number of animated adds for clients and gotten positive feeds that have a lot to do with the perfect blend between the BGM of the ad and the visuals. So I would like to share these tips to help other animators bridge the gap between and promote understanding.
