Blog Pitch by Adam Gaines
Perfect for a mid December post. The industry shuts down, and you're heading home for an extended period of time. Far away from your creative life and routine. Connecting flights, bad weather, toxic family dynamics, and catching up with old friends.

How do you stay sharp and scratch that creative itch for what can be sometimes two or three weeks away from your job, passion, grind.

Dive into / Could include:
--Find time to read one hour a day.
--Find time to watch something for an hour a day.
--Keep a journal
--Be present during all the family/holiday functions. Engaging in conversation and making memories (both good and bad) will come in handy when it's back to being creative
--Eavesdrop. Be exposed to the different ways people act and talk, you never know when you'll be called upon in a creative endeavor to recreate this kind of situation.
--Don't unplug all the way. Check social media and email once-a-day (as opposed to your usual every hour or constantly)
