Create a Voice Over narration for the BOLD book trailer.
Hey there, do people say you have a soothing voice? Do you sound like velvet and chocolate in audio form? Then this is the project for you!
Remember this project? You can check out the winning Video here. Well, the folks at BOLD want the Voice Over to come from the Tongal community. They're looking for an American male narrator with a strong natural voice. They just want to make sure he doesn't sound pushy or pretentious.
If you think you've got the voice for the task, download the sample script from the Assets tab. Give us your read and if BOLD likes your take, we'll send you the full script to record. And just a heads up: the phases of this project are going to move fast so buckle up!
NOTE: Pay close attention to your email. If you're selected as a winner on Tuesday evening, you'll only have 24 hours to record your voice over.
The goal of this project is to identify a male voiceover actor to narrate the BOLD book trailer.
Please download the script sample from the Assets tab and give us your best. We’re looking for strong voice but not pushy or pretentious. The reading should feel natural. Narrators must be native English speakers and have an American accent.
NOTE: Make sure you pronounce all the names in the script correctly. If you're stumped, the correct pronunciations are easy to find on Google.
--Exposure: YouTube, Facebook and other social sharing platforms.
This project will be worth a total of $750 and consists of two phases: a Read Phase and a Voice Over Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: READ – Record and upload a short read of the script available for download as a PDF from the Assets tab. Follow the script exactly -- deviations, even if you think they’re better, are strictly prohibited. The most compelling Read will be selected and will receive a $250 advance against their full VO read in the subsequent round. The winner (upon submitting their Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Voice Over phase. So, if your Read is selected, you will win an additional $500 for a total of $750.
PHASE 2: VOICE OVER – The winner from the Read Phase will record and submit a complete, studio quality version of the BOLD narration script (to be provided). BOLD will be entitled to revisions on the VO without providing additional compensation.
--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers the winning Voice Over creator using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality (found in the lefthand column of your My Tongal page) will receive a 5% referral fee. That’s a potential $25 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this project!
