Automotive TikTok Video Series Concept Project
Concept
06/21/22 - 06/28/22

Come up with a compelling, lively, and engaging TikTok video series concept that is focused on automotive maintenance, education, and lifestyle.

Advance Auto Parts is one of the leading automotive suppliers for motorsports fans, DIY mechanics, and car enthusiasts alike. They are known for their automotive expertise and their accommodating disposition in stores, and now they're looking to convey those attributes in a fun way on TikTok. With that in mind, Advance Auto Parts (AAP) is looking to create a video series for their TikTok channel that emulates that passion, while also entertaining and encouraging an online community that's eager to learn more about automotive topics.

We are looking for clever and thumb-stopping ideas here that make viewers want to come back to the Advance TikTok channel on a weekly basis because they cannot wait to see what they posted next. Your concepts should focus on captivating, entertaining and informative topics revolving around automotive themes. Keep in mind that Advance already has car maintenance tutorial videos, which you can see on their YouTube Channel, and they are aiming to move away from that specific type of content for their other social channels and focus on something more exciting that could lend itself to being shared by their audience. So don't be afraid to pitch something playful and funny either.

With TikTok in mind - and all the unique aspects of that platform - we are looking for concepts that could work for :15-:60 videos. What the series will be about - how it is formatted, how it's styled, what topics it covers - all of that is up to you, so long as it revolves around automotive maintenance, lifestyle, or education. Should we start a spoof reality show about car owners? Do a fun history lesson about what was happening for the car industry (and AAP) during specific years? Create a car enthusiast host who seems to run Advance's TikTok and gets into weird car shenanigans? Or even a vlog series featuring different tools and products in use? You have a wide highway here for creative, so hit the gas and start sharing your ideas.

When considering your concepts, think about your potential audience and feel free to develop content that might be made specifically for new drivers, or specifically for car aficionados with several miles under their belts. The choice is yours. For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.
