Create a suite of 1:1 social media frame designs to promote guest stars, clips, and content from season 3 of At Home with Amy Sedaris on TruTV.

At Home with Amy Sedaris is a super quirky, wacky, and ultimately charming show that brings to life tutorials that either no one has ever asked for, like relaxing a turkey (very important!) to tutorials that go sideways pretty quickly, like these well-meaning tips to avoid crafting accidents.

TruTV wants to promote the new season of the show with clips and GIFs branded in kitschy frame designs similar to these examples. Throughout the season, your frames will be used on social media posts to promote guest stars, clips, quotes, memes, gifs, and characters from the show. You will need to submit a sample design as a part of your pitch; please use this image of Amy Sedaris to put inside your frame.

It's very important that your designs draw on the preexisting aesthetic of the show. Your designs should directly tie into the creative that is already approved (i.e. elements in promos, key art, etc.). For example, you could pull a background swatch of the maroon fabric used in this image (linked in Assets) to create a frame. We've also included assets from the show (including layered key art) in the Background/Additional Details section. Everything should have the Amy Sedaris humor woven through.

Our priority is to make sure everyone is safe. Along with that, we’re working really hard to keep people working during this strange time. Our advice here is to submit only if you feel you can do something within the anticipated timeline that ensures everyone's safety given today's reality.

DELIVERABLES:

  • Five social media frame designs (1x1)

TIMELINE: Please note this project has a quick-turn timeline. For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:

TARGET AUDIENCE:

  • Millennials, especially women
  • DIY and tutorial audiences
  • Fans of wacky, kooky comedy

TONE:

  • Humorous, surprising, niche
  • Quirky, vintage, crafty, 50s-60s vibe

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Your designs MUST draw from preexisting assets from the show.
  • You MUST use this image of Amy Sedaris to put inside your frame.
  • Your designs should feel like they exist within the universe of the show, which has a very specific look.
  • Your suite of designs should feel connected and cohesive.

OPEN BID:

  • This is an open bid project, so you will get to set your own budget proposal of up to $1,000 for the five designs. We encourage you to pitch multiple times, as the Sponsor may greenlight multiple creators and multiple suites of designs.
  • By participating in this open bid project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most open bid projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all open bid submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

On At Home with Amy Sedaris, Amy Sedaris cordially invites you into her home, where she will show off diverse but necessary homemaking skills, from creating popsicle-stick buddies and gutting a fish to making raisin necklaces and entertaining businessmen. As always, Amy will use her unique expertise to entertain guests, demonstrate her know-how by preparing meals and exhibit her can-do spirit by attempting to work out personal issues. Remember, if you want to be the perfect host, accentuate the positives and medicate the negatives.

SHOW ASSETS:

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this suite of designs.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous graphic design work. Please specify your role on each project and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL.

  • SAMPLE DESIGN (REQUIRED): Please upload a sample social media frame in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format. Your sample frame should show how you plan to visualize a single social media post and should draw DIRECTLY from the preexisting aesthetic of the show. Please use this image of Amy Sedaris to put inside your frame.

  • BID (REQUIRED): This is an open bid project, so you’ll get to set your overall bid. You can download the budget template here. The Sponsor would like each producer to create five social media frames with a budget of up to $1,000. We encourage you to pitch multiple times, as the Sponsor may greenlight multiple creators and multiple suites of designs.

All Pitches will remain private until after the Sponsor gives creator(s) the green light to move forward.

The most compelling pitches will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding. Please note: the payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets section.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Creators will perform reasonable edits on their designs according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project files and layered working files in order to submit final payment. You are responsible for the costs associated the hard drive and shipping.
