We're looking for a talented designer & video editor or team to help produce a supplemental suite of static ads and lightly animated video content for a major campaign with a Mystery Sponsor in the healthcare space. This will be anchored by digital banners but include deliverables like outdoor video displays and LinkedIn carousel ads, and will run alongside a separate live action production, which you'll need to pull from to create your content.

For this project, our Mystery Sponsor is a client in the healthcare space, and they're currently working with a live action director on an exciting new brand anthem campaign. This campaign involves a large live action shoot, and it's anchored by a suite of videos, but it will also involve an array of supplemental content, like static digital banners, LinkedIn posts, outdoor digital displays, and email marketing images. The supplemental content will be derived from video and photo that's captured during the live action shoot, but we need a talented individual or team to actually bring it to life.

The goal of this project then is to find someone that can handle graphic design, motion graphics, and some video editing, as well as a bit of copywriting, to work within the framework of the campaign and create engaging, visually dynamic multi-platform ad content. Visuals will be bold and even a little high-concept, but grounded in the healthcare space, and punctuated by direct messaging and prominent brand placement.

Visual assets will largely be driven by imagery of healthcare professionals in a high concept environment featuring doorways, and we anticipate that there would be four or five static "hero" assets that would be versioned across multiple platforms (i.e. a single image of a nurse might drive an individual digital display banner, an out-of-home (OOH) outdoor display ad, and a LinkedIn carousel ad. The "animation" required for outdoor displays is more like subtle cinematic movement and motion graphics than true animation. Copywriting will revolve around establishing brand identity, and will be consistent across platforms, but versioned depending on the various lengths needed for each platform.

If selected, you'll work closely with Tongal and the live action director to develop a creative approach that aligns with the campaign's overall approach, and ensure that visuals that you might need for your assets are captured on the day of the shoot.

We can't share more info publicly in the Pre-Pitch Phase, but if this all sounds interesting, please submit any past work that might be relevant to the professional healthcare space or the types of assets we're looking for. You may also share any general info about your team and your capabilities, but nothing else is required - we don't want you spinning your wheels too much here.

In the Pre-Pitch Phase, four creators will be selected, and after signing an NDA, they will be provided with additional information about the mystery sponsor and the campaign, and will be able to submit a proper pitch.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

EXPECTED TIMELINE:

  • HERE
  • Please note that more specific dates will be shared with the 3 creators who will move forward to the Pitch Phase.

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a submission. Though most projects do move forward, we'll notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any submissions via the Project Forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and project team.

PRE-PITCH PHASE:

In order to be considered for the Pitch Phase, you will need to submit samples of previous work, confirm your availability for production, and tell us why you are interested in submitting to this project. It’s your chance to raise your hand and say, “Hey, I’m available and I have this opportunity and want to learn more!”

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing why you are interested and why you think you could be a great fit for this project.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous design work. You can submit individual links or submit a link to a folder.

  • ADDITONAL INFORMATION (OPTIONAL): If Links alone don't help you accurately showcase everything, you may upload document A more detailed and specific description  of your how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables. Explain what we can expect to see, and how you'll make it. If it's helpful, we've provided a treatment template HERE.

PITCH PHASE:

Four creators will be selected to move forward to the Pitch Phase, you will be required to sign an NDA and will then be sent additional information about the project to put together your pitch. You must include the below materials in your pitch submission to be considered for this project. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed in the Deliverables.

  • TREATMENT (REQUIRED): A more detailed and specific description of how you propose to execute all of the content listed out in the Deliverables. Explain what we can expect to see, and how you'll make it. If it's helpful, we've provided a treatment template HERE.

  • UPDATED LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous design work. This is included so that you can, if necessary, update your links after you're fully briefed on the sponsor. You can submit individual links or submit a link to a folder.

  • PITCH VIDEO (Optional): This is your opportunity to be face-to-face with the Sponsor and show what you're capable of. Consider a video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect, or consider test videos, proof-of-concept edits, animatics, etc. For examples of effective Pitch videos, check out this gallery.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.

PRE-PRODUCTION BIBLE & APPROVALS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST prepare a singular pre-production "bible" document with the elements contained below, and that document MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor. We recommend that you use the bible template we provide HERE, or something very similar. The bible can be presented in stages as different elements are ready for review (i.e. it's not expected that storyboards, if required, are ready with your first draft). Apart from the below, you're also welcome to include other key items that you think would be helpful to communicate your plan (e.g. moodboards, lighting, music, shot list, etc.).

Note that there may be multiple rounds of feedback until elements are approved, and if you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.

  • TREATMENT Describe how you plan to execute the content, and how you plan to bring it to life visually. Feel free to use concept art, references, style frames, or mock-ups. If relevant, share additional information about your team, and your process.
  • SCRIPT: Include clear descriptions of the visuals, actions, camera movements, or transitions, along with dialogue, voiceover, or on-screen text, as relevant.

For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.

Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may NOT use any audio.

If you intend to use Storyblocks, inform your Tongal producer, and an account will be created for you to access the library. Once assets are approved for delivery, you must provide a complete list of all Storyblocks content that you used via our template HERE.
