Using the provided Roku Advertising icons and UI elements, use motion graphics to create an engaging and informative :30 video that drives small to medium-sized businesses to sign up for the Roku Ads Manager platform.
TV advertising is a crucial element of a good marketing campaign, but getting started can be intimidating for many smaller businesses, which is why Roku Ads Manager was created. Roku Ads Manager exists to make advertising approachable and affordable for those small to medium-sized businesses that may not otherwise be able to advertise on TV or streaming platforms. It's free to sign up, the minimum ad buy is only $500, and it takes 4 easy steps. The goal of this project is to create an engaging motion graphic video that helps get the word out about the Roku Ads Manager platform and that drives small to medium-sized businesses to sign up.
This video should be driven by strong visuals and dynamic on-screen text and accompanied by entertaining voiceover that explains the value propositions. Roku has provided a wealth of icons in the assets linked below, which should be brought to life with creative use of motion graphics. There is an opportunity for actual 2D animation here, but given the short timeline, it's not at all expected. If you do have a great animated approach, however, please speak to how you'd be able to execute given the project parameters.
In terms of scripting, you'll need something that explains what Roku Ads Manager is and why brands should consider it. This shouldn't be a dry business lecture though, and the sponsor is interested in something that incorporates subtle humor to make the video more exciting. With that in mind, this is also not really a product tutorial - it's more of a flashy attenion-grabber for potential businesses. Remember the goal is to drive net-new sign-ups. Accordingly, the voiceover should be an upbeat voice that fits the overall tone of your video.
The video will be accompanied by a short cutdown, and some alternate versions. The versioning will involve small changes like an alternate CTA, end-card design, or on-screen text copy edit, but is TBD. Static images will be used to extend the reach of this creative on search, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media sites. While the images should be similar to the feel of your video, we'll need to make sure they're optimized for these platforms. They should be concise enough to be catchy, while lengthy enough to be inclusive of the main selling points of the product.

KEY VALUE PROPOSITIONS
HELPFUL REFERENCE VIDEOS FOR INSPIRATION/TONE:
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
PRE-PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior to the commencement of actual production, creators MUST receive final approval from the Sponsor on the elements below. There may be multiple rounds of feedback until an element is approved.
If you begin production before you have received final approval, you may need to reshoot or reanimate at your own expense.
For convenience, we've provided some helpful templates that you can consider using for pre-production materials, and they can all be accessed here.

Video or photo content from Storyblocks is available at no charge, solely for incorporation into submissions on this project, and will not require a separate Release Form. If identifiable people or intellectual property appears in a video clip or photo, you may only utilize assets that are clearly marked “Model released: Yes” or “Property release: Yes” on the clip description pages. You may not use any audio.
If you intend to use Storyblocks, inform your Tongal producer, and an account will be created for you to access the library. Once assets are approved for delivery, you must provide a complete list of all Storyblocks content that you used via our template HERE.
