Naman Gupta is an OSCAR-QUALIFIED, LA/India-based director & writer, acclaimed for his genre-bending, emotionally charged narratives with gripping cinematic spectacle. His Sci-Fi short COMING OUT WITH THE HELP OF A TIME MACHINE, starring Karan Soni (Deadpool), screened at over 70 festivals (Tribeca, BFI SXSW), winning multiple Best Director awards. The film was acquired by JioHotstar for Indian rights. He is a winner of Netflix Film Fund, and his horror feature screenplay SVARAK, was ranked Top 50 out of over 15,000 screenplays at the TLC Competition, placed in the Top 3% on Coverfly, and was a Finalist at 1497 Lab. Naman is a fellow of Ryan Murphy’s HALF Initiative where he shadowed on FOX's hit series 9-1-1, starring Angela Bassett (Black Panther). He was also a finalist for both NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. Directing Initiatives. Naman worked as a fashion photographer in NY, bringing a distinct visual style and strong aesthetic sensibility to his cinematic storytelling.
