Jobin is a filmmaker whose roots stem from theatre. His first feature, “Colorum”, won the Jury Prize at the 5th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, and was officially selected in various film festivals, such as the Tokyo International Film Festival, the Brussels International Independent Film Festival in, and the Exground Film Festival in Germany. His short film, “The Ballad of Mimiong’s Minion” garnered him the Ishmael Bernal Award for Young Cinema in the 8th Cinemanila International Film Festival as well as the Crystal Piaya Award for Best Short in NSW Bacolod. His other short film, “The Last Boy Riding” was also officially selected in festivals such as the Festival Internacional de Cinema del Medi Ambient in Spain; the 2nd South to South Film Festival in Indonesia; Cinemadamare Film Festival in Italy; the 9th Cinemanila International Film Festival; and the NUFF Festival in Norway. In 2005, He put up Wild Coyote Pictures, a boutique production and post production company.
