Do you have to show and win Idea...pitch to qualify a video?

I submitted a video. It was accepted but didnt win a prize. Some of the objectives on some of the other projects seem to suggest that you have to submit and win an idea...then you can pitch and if you win a prize for your pitch you may then qualify to win a video prize. Is this correct?

In order to win a prize, your idea or video must win. Simply submitting ideas or videos does not guarantee you a prize, as people would just submit any video or idea in order to win, regardless of quality.
