Technical Issues
Hi, I was trying to submit but the button that had said "Submit" kept changing to "Waiting for Registration or Login" in the meantime the deadline expired!!! What a nightmare! We worked so hard on this. Will my submission still go through somehow???

The deadlines are almost always 3pm Eastern/12pm Western unless otherwise stated. I'm guessing you were doing a pitch with a video and additional documents to upload all on the one submission, which means you were likely still loading documents as the deadline passed. I don't submit pitches often, but I did try and have the page up and test if they'd allow things to be submitted late as long as you had the entry page open still, but wouldn't go through and just takes you back to the home page. In the future I'd suggest giving yourself a good 30/60 minutes before the deadline to upload your video/storyboards/script/additional resources so everything gets in on time. It's just like submitting a paper online for a class. As soon as the clock strikes the deadline, you're locked out. If it truly was a "Website Glitch" then send a message to Info@Tongal.com and they'll relay that over to the technical guys to look into. That being said, if you just looked at the clock and were beyond the deadline, you might be out of luck… With the fast deadlines/quick turnaround, it'd be unfair to everyone else who actually submitted by the deadline to add in late entries.

Additionally, the brand can still review all the pitches and not find something they like, opening up the submission processes again for additional entries. If the website really was screwing up for everyone, they'll generally open up the project for another 24 hours to make sure everyone's submissions went through. If that does happen right around the deadline, submit everything by email to Info@Tongal.com so they're aware of the situation and know you're not just looking for an extension to the deadline. Hopefully this doesn't deter you from pitching on projects in the future, because there are always new opportunities popping up on a regular basis. Next time leave a little more room before the deadline so you have room for errors. You can also edit an entry after it's been submitted, so your idea/script could be uploaded in advance, be submitted, and then add in your video/storyboards/casting closer to the deadline so you don't need to worry about missing the deadline entirely.
