Write worse stuff and you won't have to worry about that? Boom! Problem solved! :P I've only gotten 86 finalist emails since I joined and I hate them all equally. You can always turn off the finalist email notifications so you'll only know you were a finalist if you check your submissions tab after the project is over.

I'm currently fifth on Tongal's ideation leaderboard (Kyle is second (does that make him twice as more competent than me? (yes...yes, it does))).
I've spent the first year here submitting more than 200 entries and getting five finalist notifications in return. I could stop right there and then...but that doesn't get you to fifth (or second) place on the leaderboard.
