Let's talk music videos! They were born in the 80s (raise your hands if you remember when they took up a majority of MTV's programming), and have only become more polished, artistic, and daring in the intervening years. The right visuals set to the right track can sometimes make or break a song, add context to the lyrics, or make you say, "HOLYMOLYTHATWASAWESOME!" So we want to know...what are some of your favorite music videos, old or new, and why?

One of my recent favorites is this one for HAIM’s Want You Back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPQfcG-eimk Not only is it filmed in the neighborhood where I grew up, but it’s just so cool to watch their continuous movement. Plus, it’s pretty crazy that they shut down Ventura Blvd.

I really like this music video for Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know'. Simple concept, low-budget, and an interesting use of stop-motion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY

This might be the first music video shot on a drone without a single cut as it transitions from inside to outside. Thanks, Dr. Phil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ioilEr3Apw
