If you guys weren't at the Tongies/Keeping up with the livestream and announcements, Tongal just announced their newest program that will help bring our ideas/projects to life. No briefs, no brands, just whatever crazy ideas we want to create. Check out the Tongal Incubator section on the Community tab to learn more info. It sounds like it should be a great opportunity for everyone!

From what they explained at the event, we'll be able to submit our own "Dream" projects, which could pretty much be anything. They'll pick some projects and (Probably with some sponsorship from the brands) invest in projects that they think have potential to be something big! They've already worked with Sundance and created other long-form documentary features that have been screened at festivals, so this will likely be a great opportunity if you have an idea for a project but lack the couple grand it might take to get it off the ground. They also have a partnership with United Talent Agency now, so we'll have that talented pool of people to work with on these projects as well. I'm sure when it goes live on the website they'll have a blog post/video to explain it completely.

I'm new to participating in the Tongal community but have been intrigued for years by it. What a time to join! The idea of any agency or company letting us pitch our creative moonshots is beyond impressive. And no, I'm not a plant haha.

When you start pitching projects on Tongal just mail a few Philly Cheesesteaks to the Tongal office in Santa Monica. That's the only thing they seem to be missing out in California :)
