The Social Suite Workshop is the second installment in our Branded Content Mentorship Program - an ongoing project to pair established creative professionals with emerging creators who are looking to learn a new skill in the world of branded content.
In this workshop, mentor April Merl covered the basics of creating a social suite - or a collection of assets for different platforms, all meant to support a single campaign or brand message. From defining what makes up a social suite, to tips for ideating for campaigns, and even walking through a demonstration of responding to a sample brief, April breaks down everything you need to know to get started on creating polished social assets for brands. April Merl is an editor and animator with over 20 years experience in film, television and media. She has edited documentaries including Salt in My Soul (2022) and The Yes Men Fix the World (2009, HBO). She also produces short form media, including her animated short All the Heroines for SYFY (2022) and social media content for clients that have included Facebook and TBS.
