Your brain moves at lightning speed, so why shouldn’t your Internet? It should keep up with you and the millions of ideas racing through your mind every second. Waiting for a slow page to load or a video to download could be the difference between a great train of thought and a train that has already left the station.

Enter Verizon FiOS Quantum. Verizon FiOS Quantum is fast. Like Lindsay Lohan out of rehab fast. Like RHoNY’s Ramona Singer downing a bottle of Kendall Jackson fast. Starting at 50 MB speeds going up to 300 MB speeds – Verizon FiOS Quantum is more than 3 times faster than average Internet speeds! The days of waiting a half hour for your iTunes movie rental to download are over. The future is lag free! Imagine running Spotify on your laptop and Netflix on your tablet, while uploading photos from your smartphone and crushing it on Call of Duty – All. At. The. Same. Time. BUFFER-FREE! Leave inferior Internet speeds in the dust. Do more with your life and all that awaits you.

Now Verizon is turning to the Tongal community to help spread the word about Powering Up to Verizon FiOS Quantum. Just think, what impossible feats could you accomplish? How many more balls could you juggle? Go beyond browsing and explore the adventures from the far reaches of your global imagination to the nearer & dearer tasks you can check off your To-Do List.

The question is simple: “If you had more Internet Speed, what could you do?”

The goal of this project is to create a fun, creative and visually interesting 30-60 second video about “If you had more Internet Speed, what could you do?”

Beyond buffer-free video streaming, faster downloads, uploads in a flash, lag-free gaming, AND the capacity to handle ALL of your multiple devices… show us in an elevated, aspirational, and/or funny way how Verizon FiOS Quantum could improve your multi-tasking, your productivity, your LIFESTYLE.

Get clever -- it’s not just about being able to watch/search/use more, but it’s about becoming the person you’ve always dreamt you could be. Take it to technology and beyond! What can Verizon FiOS Quantum enable YOU to do?

-- Key Marketing Message:

• “If you had more Internet Speed, what could you do?”

• For existing customers the message is: Your Internet needs have changed since you first got FiOS. Power Up to Quantum Speeds for less than you ever expected. It’s Easy, Affordable, and Powerful.

• For potential customers the message is: Faster exists.

-- Target Audience:

• “Family First Moms” - The Family First Mom has kids to raise and a budget to watch.  As a mom she’s a bit on the older side, but she doesn’t let that hold her back from leaving it all on the field for her kids.  She would see the benefit of becoming a key player in the neighborhood.

• “Modern Families” – The Modern Family is typically a young, two-parent, single-family household that reflects its owners’ college education and above average income.  They went to great lengths to select their neighborhood and will do anything to help it succeed.

• “Urban Bachelors” – Urban Bachelors are largely on their own with no kids or wife sharing their home.  They are interested in the latest technology and will share their experiences with their neighbors.

In addition to those target groups, Verizon would like to focus on people who don’t think they need more speed, or people who don’t see the value of a faster Internet.

-- Tone: Entertaining, Funny, Engaging, Unexpected, Grounded, Relatable. Your submissions should be positive in tone, and not at all mean-spirited towards other cable service providers.

-- Executional Mandatories: Videos should not be heavily branded but the Sponsor may provide a bumper with a Verizon FiOS Quantum logo and Call To Action.

-- Exposure: Intended use on Verizon.com, Facebook, YouTube, online advertising and marketing landing pages.

This project will be worth a total of $22,500 and consist of three phases, an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA – Tell us your Idea for a Verizon FiOS Quantum Video based on the project objective in 140 characters or less. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. Winning Idea creators will each receive $250 and a 5% one-time residual payment for every winning Video their Idea is used to generate. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $750, the 2nd place Video $300) – see Video Phase Payout details below.

PHASE 2: PITCH – Using text (500 characters or less), images (storyboards), video, and external links (to other supporting assets, i.e., your reel, etc.), give us your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) for how YOU would go about producing a 30-60 second Video based on one of the winning Ideas. The most compelling Pitch will be selected and will receive $1,000 to help create his/her Video. Those winners (upon submitting their Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you submit a video during the Video Phase, you will win an additional $6,000, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $15,000 first place Video prize (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment). Remember your Pitch can include any, and all, of the assets mentioned above and you MUST include a link to some of your previous video work on Tongal or elsewhere to be considered for this phase. For an example of an effective pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch. All Pitches will remain private until after the winners of the Video Phase are announced and the Project is complete. Keep in mind, if you don’t win the Pitch Phase or choose not to create a Pitch, you will still have the opportunity to create and submit a “Wild Card” Video.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create a 30-60 second video based upon their winning Pitch, and all other creators are invited to enter a “Wild Card” (What Is a Wildcard?) submission that is not based on a winning pitch from the previous phase. The Judges will score all Wild Card Videos and the highest scoring Wild Card Video and the winning Video submitted by the Pitch winner will be scored to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember, the ONE Pitch winner, along with ONE non-Pitch Video creator, will receive prizes.

-- Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $15,000, 2nd place $6,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to Idea winners, as applicable).

-- Music: Tongal has partnered with Audiosocket, a boutique music licensing and technology company representing more than 2,400 emerging bands, composers and record labels. This is not "stock" music. It is an inventory of more than 40,000 original, culturally relevant songs and music that have been compiled into a premium roster.  Audiosocket's music will be available to Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Tongal members' submissions to this Project.  Tongal members are encouraged to browse the Audiosocket roster, available by clicking on the "Audiosocket" button on the right hand side of this page. If you are interested in using a track from the Audiosocket roster, as described above, just add the track(s) you want to use to your cart using the "+cart" button, then click the "checkout" button.  Enter the Tongal project name and click the "purchase and download" button to acquire the track for free ($0.00). Lastly, click the "download track" button, which will initiate the music file download. You may only use THREE Audiosocket tracks maximum as part of your video submission.
