Ever purchased an expensive shirt only to retire it to the back of your closet months later? We’ve all been there. When you have the "got to have it feeling,” your wallet usually ends up hurting... but what if it didn’t have to.
thredUP is an online fashion resale destination where consumers can buy AND sell secondhand clothing. By putting secondhand fashion first, thredUP gives consumers the opportunity to sell what they don’t need and buy what they really want.
Working with Tongal, thredUP is looking for creators to pitch and execute a series of videos to drive consumers to sign up and ultimately make a purchase or sell on the site.
Interested? Please see below for more details.
Think about creative that is going to make someone want to DO something at thredUP.com ASAP.
Although not required, the pitch winners are encouraged to test different video formats. thredUP is specifically interested in testing VERTICAL and SQUARE assets over traditional 16:9 videos. You could create a video that works in multiple formats and cut it down or create something uniquely vertical/square.
Out of the EIGHT (8) pitch winners, the creator who creates the best performing video during the first 60 days of the media buy will win a $5,000 bonus.
All assets created by the pitch winners are eligible to be tested.
While the number of videos in your series is completely up to you, the sponsor is looking for at least TWO (2) different video executions per pitch winner.
Keep in mind when creating your videos it’s about the craft not just the volume. It’s not about making a super glossy high-fashion video (although we’re not discouraging it), it’s about making something that will draw people in visually so they are compelled to look at the content and ultimately click-through and purchase on thredUP.com.
Pitches are due by noon PT Wednesday May 17.
