Every mom wants the best in the world for her baby…now Tongal and our Mystery Sponsor want your best baby care tips from all around the world!

All around the world, families have their own baby care rituals, tips, and remedies that get passed down throughout the generations. But it’s not just families that create and share practices to care for babies; whole cities, towns, regions and countries use niche, unique, and/or local ingredients indigenous to their habitats and cultures to create innovative and intuitive baby care practices and products.

Are you a mom that uses certain baby care practices/ingredients that you have learned from other cultures – perhaps by picking up on new ideas through your travels, learnings from your diverse friends, getting advice from your relatives, or just by Googling new things? If so, this concept-based project is aimed at you. Our Mystery Sponsor is looking to hear your ideas and information on locally-based baby care practices, products and ingredients from all over the world. Think local, niche, unique, exotic, intuitive…what is the practice or product or ingredient you turn to for your baby? Where does it come from and what about that region makes it unique?

We’re looking for specific, authentic, and real ingredients, practices and products that tie directly into their location of origin; not general baby care advice. The best ideas incorporate or revolve around a regional practice or ingredients. For example, African Shea Butter baby lotion was born out of local practices and ingredients indigenous to Central Africa, where moms cover their babies with ointments made from locally-derived shea nuts to protect sensitive baby skin from constant exposure to region’s environment.

The goal of this project is to gather ideas from real moms and moms-to-be from all around the world on how they incorporate local ingredients and practices into their everyday baby care.

We welcome ideas and practices from all around the world – whether you found them through travels, friends, family, or heritage practices passed down through the generations. Your ideas/practices must be specific, authentic and real. That means real ingredients, authentic folk remedies, locally-sourced products, and regional practices.

--Target Audience: Trendy, globally-minded, cultured new and/or expecting moms from all around the world.

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Your text-based concepts should be communicable in 500 characters or less.
  • Ideas must revolve around or involve regionally-derived and –specific ingredients, practices, or products.

--Tone: Authentic, Local, Unique, Niche, Exotic, Intuitive; Higher end, but accessible.
