The challenge of being a world-class Mom is a lot like the challenge of conducting your own orchestra. Except you are leading a symphony comprised of kids, husband, career, your personal passions, your home, and your family’s meals—all the while relishing every part of the role you play at the center of it all.
Understandably, in the face of all this, Quaker Moms often don't have time to spare and need to make informed decisions all day long, decisions that keep the family and herself perfectly in tune, all day—starting with breakfast. Quaker Real Medleys comes in TWO great forms Oatmeal+ and Bars that fit seamlessly into any lifestyle. They are a smart way to satisfy cravings and prevent drops in energy throughout the day so that Quaker Moms can focus on what's important.
Both Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+ and Bars deliver a delicious real fruit, real nuts and wholesome multi-grains experience whenever you need it. With mind-blowing taste, there is a Real Medleys flavor for every mood.
• Real Medleys Oatmeal+ is available in: Apple Walnut, Blueberry Hazelnut, Cherry Pistachio, Peach Almond, and Summer Berry.
• Real Medleys Bars are available in: Cherry Pistachio, Apple Nut Harvest, and Peach Almond.
So here ye, here ye, Denizens of Tongal! We need your inspired Ideas, Pitches and Videos to create 15-second spots for Hulu and other outlets to drive awareness about Quaker Real Medleys as we head into the fall season. We want consumers to know that this product exists, it’s delicious, and seamlessly fits into any lifestyle.
What you need to know:
Appropriately enough, this project will be cooking FAST. We're looking at a 24 Hour Idea Phase, 48 Hour Pitch Phase, and 6 Day production period.
We are looking for Ideas, Pitches and Videos that are complementary to the current Quaker Real Medleys digital and print look. We’ve included some examples in the Assets Tab. For more information on Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+ and Bars click on over to their website.
So what are you waiting for? Get moving! Quaker up!
The primary goal of this project is to produce a 15-second video focusing on Quaker Real Medleys both Oatmeal+ and Bars. The video should inform viewers that Quaker Real Medleys exists and get them excited to try it!

This project will be worth a total of $50,000 and consist of three phases, an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: IDEA – Tell us your Idea for a Quaker Real Medleys Video Project in 140 characters or less. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The TWO winning Idea creators will each receive $500 and a 5% one-time residual payment for the Video their Idea is used to generate. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $1,500, 2nd place Video, you will receive $500) – see Video Phase Payout details below.
PHASE 2: PITCH – Using text (500 characters or less), images (storyboards), video, and external links (to other supporting assets, i.e., your reel, etc.), give us your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) for how YOU would go about producing a 15 second video based on the winning Idea. The TWO most compelling Pitches will be selected and will each receive $4,500 to help create their Videos. The winners (upon submitting their Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you submit a video during the Video Phase, you will win an additional $10,000, at a minimum, and have a chance to compete for the $30,000 first place Video prize (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment). Remember your Pitch can include any, and all, of the assets mentioned above and you MUST include a link to some of your previous video work on Tongal or elsewhere to be considered for this phase. For an example of an effective pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs”. All Pitches will remain private until after the winners of the Video Phase are announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 3: VIDEO – The winners from the Pitch Phase will each create a 15 second video based upon his/her winning Pitch. The Judges will score both Pitch winners’ Videos to determine the standings for the Video Phase. Remember both Pitch winners will receive prizes.
-- Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $30,000, 2nd place $10,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to Idea winners, as applicable).
-- Music: Killer Tracks is a leading provider of production music for use in film, television, advertising and interactive media. Killer Tracks’ music will be available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into official Submissions to this Project. No other use is permitted. You may only use up to THREE Killer Tracks maximum as part of your video Submission.
