Orgullosa is the largest Facebook community of Hispanic women in the U.S. that supports Latinas who are leading by example in their everyday lives. Check out the Ogullosa social network here: Orgullosa.com and here: www.facebook.com/orgullosa (Yes, you can click to ‘Translate’)

Orgullosa is a space for women to share their culture, traditions and daily experiences that identify them as Mujeres con la Falda Bien Puesta (literally translated as: women with their skirts put on well). These women are strong but feminine, confident and independent, beautiful inside and out. They balance family and personal life, light up a room, have strong ties to the Latin culture and always look effortlessly put together.

Orgullosa is a community - not just a website or Facebook page - with several online and offline touch points for Latinas who live the American dream, while they have not forgotten where they came from. That’s why Orgullosa uses the term 200% Latinas to describe these women who feel 100% American AND also 100% Hispanic. Orgullosa celebrates these bi-cultural, confident and driven women who are proud of who they are, inspired by who they strive to be, and empowered by this community to which they belong.

Now Orgullosa needs YOU to create a video that will 1) put a face to the Orgullosa woman, and raise awareness about a community that Latinas can gravitate to and get involved in because Orgullosa gives Latinas somewhere to connect and share; 2) elevate the role of Orgullosa as enabling Latinas to build meaningful relationships rooted in their pride / commonalities / struggles / confidence of being Latinas; and 3) inspire Latinas to join the Orgullosa community by going to facebook.com/orgullosa

The goal of this project is to produce a celebratory and authentic 60 second video (plus a 30 second version) that raises awareness about Orgullosa, what it means to be Mujeres con la Falda Bien Puesta, and inspires U.S Hispanic women to join the Orgullosa community. Your video should capture the essence of Orgullosa and communicate it to proud, confident Latinas in an authentic way.

 • The goal of your video should be to put a face to the Orgullosa woman, a community that Latinas can gravitate to and get involved in because Orgullosa gives Latinas somewhere to connect and share.

 • Elevate the role of Orgullosa as enabling Latinas to build meaningful relationships rooted in their pride/commonalities/struggles/confidence of being Latinas.

 • Call to Action: Get Latinas to join Orgullosa by going to facebook.com/orgullosa

**Your Video is intended to debut as the first in a series of three Videos throughout the coming year for Orgullosa. If the Sponsor loves your video, then you may have the opportunity to be the featured Filmmaker chosen to Produce the subsequent two Orgullosa Videos!**

Also, these Mujeres con la Falda Bien Puesta speak English and Spanish when they communicate passionately. As seen here: Orgullosa Skirts Only Fashion Show Sizzle Reel. Your video should appeal to this style.

Remember to:

 • Tell the story by integrating both English & Spanish language into your video, as seen in the YouTube video and posts on the Orgullosa Facebook page.

 • Use the tagline “Mujeres con la Falda Bien Puesta” in Spanish, but do explain it in the video when integrating English and Spanish.

 • Show the Orgullosa logo (provided under the “Assets Tab”)

This Project will be worth a total of $20,000 and consists of three Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: IDEA  – Tell us your Idea for an Orgullosa Video in 140 characters or less.  Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video.  As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging.  The winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for any winning Video based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st place Video, you will receive $500 – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.

PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What Is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on one of the winning Ideas from the previous Phase using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less summarizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.
  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work, showreel, etc.
  • Images (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, scripts, casting notes, anything that helps get your point across.
  • Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The ONE most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $9,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $10,000 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 3: VIDEO – The ONE Pitch winner from the Pitch Phase will create a 60 second Video and a 30 second version based upon their winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $10,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winner, as applicable).

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers: Audiosocket, Killer Tracks and Music Dealers. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. You may use up to THREE total tracks per Video submission, and they can come from any of the three providers listed above. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won. That’s a potential $500 bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
