MasterCard’s releasing an amazing new prepaid card and they want you to help shepherd it through development. So light up a cigarette and mix up an Old Fashioned because we’re going to need you to tap into your inner Don Draper.

MasterCard is aiming this revolutionary product at young travelers in the U.K. (students and young professionals taking a “gap year”). It’s got a plethora of stellar benefits:

• Convenient Everywhere  – it’s accepted at millions of ATM's and point of sale systems (cash registers) across the globe. You can manage your account easily online or with help from call center staff.

• Multiple Currencies – customers can load up to 11 different currencies onto the card. It automatically and intelligently selects the proper currency for your current transaction.

• Secure – with chip and PIN security, the new prepaid card offers better protection than cash. It’s not linked to a bank account and has no personalization, which reduces the risk of fraud or identity theft.

• Reusable – the new card is easily reloadable at stores or online and you can use it for multiple trips. Funds can be rolled over to your next trip or cashed out.

• Supported – the card has 24/7/365 support from a multilingual call center. That’s 24/7 card replacement and you can get emergency cash in as little as ten minutes if your card is lost/stolen.

Now, MasterCard wants Tongal’s help with the entire product development process, so we’ll be breaking this down into two phases. The first stage is something new – Positioning. This is where you get your Don Draper on. Positioning is how advertisers decide they’ll market a product to consumers. Here we want you to imagine how would you convince your friends whom are within the target audience to use this card. What are the most attractive features of this card to you?  You can reference any of the fantastic benefits above.

The second stage is the typical Tongal Naming phase. Pick one of the winning Positioning statements from the previous phase and come up with an exciting name for the card that appeals to the target audience and reflects the awesome features listed above. Create a name that will ensure this card is the first thing on every budding globehopper’s packing list.

For the Positioning Phase, explain how you would convince your friends within the target audience to use this card. Communicate, in 500 characters or less, the breakthrough benefits of the card in an exciting and relatable way.

For the Name phase, come up with an exciting Name for MasterCard's new prepaid card. The ideal Name will appeal to the target audience and reflect some of the amazing benefits listed on the background tab.

--Key Marketing Messages: This convenient and secure new prepaid card should be at the top of every international traveler’s packing list.

--Target Audience: Young travelers in the U.K., 18-29. Students and young professionals taking a “gap year.”

--Exposure: Through all channels, including but not subject to marketing communications, online, labels.
