Ferguson, the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and fittings, is looking for a voiceover talent to narrate a suite of 5 videos for their B2B website, Ferguson Online.

 

Ferguson Online allows businesses to manage inventory, streamline operations and gain access to eBusiness Tools so they can save time, save money and work more efficiently. We’re looking for a voice talent who can convey the benefits of Ferguson Online in a way that sounds engaging and relatable to businesses and contractors. We want someone who sounds like they’ve used Ferguson Online before and someone who the customer can trust.

 

What you need to know:

We're looking for one voiceover talent to narrate 5 Videos for Ferguson Online, each between 30-120 seconds long. Please note that the Sponsor reserves the right to contract the winner for additional Videos at a fee of $500 per Video.


Objectives

 

The goal of this project is to identify a voiceover actor (male or female) to narrate 5 Videos (each 30-120 seconds long) for Ferguson Online.

 

Please download the provided script HERE and give us your read of the script. Follow the script exactly -- deviations, even if you think they’re better, are strictly prohibited.

 

Please also give us just one version and please be natural.


Details

 

This project will be worth $2,750 and consist of two phases, a Read Phase and a Voiceover Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules. Please note that the Sponsor reserves the right to contract you for additional Videos at a fee of $500 per Video.

 

PHASE 1: READ – Record and upload a short read of the script available for download as a PDF HERE.  Follow the script exactly -- deviations, even if you think they’re better, are strictly prohibited. The most compelling Read will be selected and will receive a $250 advance against his/her full voiceover read in the subsequent round. The winner (upon submitting his/her Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also win the subsequent Voiceover Phase. So if your Read is selected and you cooperate with the filmmaker for his/her suite of 5 Videos, you will receive an additional $2,500.

 

-- Referral Bonus: Any Tongal member who refers the winning Voice actor/actress using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality (found in the lefthand column of your My Tongal page) will receive a 5% referral fee. That’s a potential $125 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this project!

 

PHASE 2: VOICEOVER – The winner from the Read Phase will work with the selected filmmaker to narrate 5 Videos for Ferguson Online. Ferguson will be entitled to revisions on the voiceover without providing additional compensation. 


Requirements

 

1. Preferred format for Voiceover is .mp3 or .wav. 
 
2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.
 
3. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the Official Rules, pitches will also be evaluated on that member's ability to execute the final VO based on their prior work and experience.
4. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Ferguson.
 
5. You will be judged on how well you satisfy the factors contained in the Project Objectives pages, in the judges' sole discretion.
 
6. Submissions must not portray Ferguson in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Ferguson.
 
7. Voiceover must be in the English language.
 
8. Limit one (1) submission per member.
 
9. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, creators MUST also provide Talent and Music Releases for all assets audible in the spot.
