We're looking for US-based DC fans to become a DC Ambassador.

DC Ambassadors will receive fun, new DC products (such as toys, collectible figurines, costumes, and clothing) in exchange for 1-3 videos per month (such as product reviews or unboxing videos) posted on your social media/digital channels.

As many of the products will be geared towards kids, this is the perfect project for Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, and Fan Families!

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• US-based fans (Guys, Gals, Moms, Dads, Uncles, Aunts, Families) who love DC and are comfortable creating videos.
• We are open to any fan who has active social media accounts.
• You'll be distributing your content on your current social channels (i.e. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitch, Pinterest) and your content should direct viewers to the DC Store on Amazon.com.
• Program finalist selection will be contingent on entry into, or current status within, the Amazon Associates affiliate marketing program. Tongal will reach out to onboard you into the Amazon Associates program if you are selected as a finalist.

DC AMBASSADOR DETAILS:

• Create 1-3 videos per month (2 to 5 minutes in length) following a production calendar to be shared with the selected individuals.
• Ambassadors will be sharing their videos on their own personal social channels. 
• The program will start in August. Ambassadors will have a week to create their videos for review and each video will go through two rounds of revisions. Once the videos are approved, Ambassadors can then post & promote their videos in September.
• Every post for this program should have an affiliate link/URL driving to the official DC Store on Amazon.com.
• Ambassadors may be eligible to receive a commission through Amazon for each sale made through his/her unique affiliate link/URL.
• Ambassadors are expected to create at least 6 months of content (September 2020 - February 2021).
• Ambassadors must provide monthly reports from their Amazon Associates accounts.
• Tongal will provide social media/ video creation best practices training to the selected Ambassadors.
• Tongal will provide training on how to use the Tongal platform.
• Program finalists will be subject to passing a background check upon request by Warner Bros. or Tongal.

In order to be considered as a DC Ambassador, you'll need to submit a Fan Video to tell us why you are the best fan! See below for some guidelines as you're creating your Fan Video.

FAN VIDEO MANDATORIES:

We want to know:

• What makes you a true DC fan? Is it your encyclopedic knowledge? Your costuming skills? 
• What impact has DC had on your life?
• How did you discover DC?
• You MAY use title cards, text, animation, or motion graphics, if it helps you tell your story. 
• Please keep your fan video under 2 minutes in length.
• For your Fan Video, please DO NOT show any IP-related or branded items (including DC branded product items). Please consider filming your fan video against a blank wall. 
• Please DO NOT wear any clothing items with logos (ie Nike swoosh or sports teams hats) or character art.
• Please DO NOT have any music playing in the background.
• Please DO NOT use any music or video/ film footage in your video that you do not have the rights to.
• Please DO NOT include references to any non-DC characters in your video. 
• You should be sure to register your Tongal account and log in before submitting your video so that you leave yourself enough time to upload your video before the deadline.
• If you are selected as an Ambassador, you will be asked to provide a signed talent release for each person who appears on the screen, and a location release for each location you use to film your video. Although other people may appear in your video, you may only submit yourself as an individual. 
• If any children or other minors appear in the video, their parents or legal guardians must sign the talent release on their behalf.

The search for DC Ambassadors is open for submissions from 12:00 PM PT on Thursday, June 18, 2020, to 12:00 PM PT on Thursday, July 9, 2020. Our priority is ensuring everyone's safety, so please review our COVID-19 Production Safety Guide and check federal, state, and local rules before and during your shoot to make sure your on-set protocols are up to date. Along with that, we’re working really hard to keep people working during this extraordinary time. In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your Ambassador submission. 

• TEXT (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less telling us why you want to be a DC Ambassador.

• FAN VIDEO (REQUIRED) :  This is your opportunity to show why YOU should be selected to be a DC Ambassador. Please keep your video submission under 2 minutes in length.

• SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS (REQUIRED): To your public social media profiles (ie. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, SnapChat, TikTok, Twitch, Pinterest).

• YOUR LOCATION (REQUIRED): Please let us know which city and state you live in.

If selected as a DC Ambassador, you must also provide your IP Assignment, and Affidavit to move forward. A Tongal Producer will reach out and help you through the process each step of the way.

1. Preferred format for upload to the Tongal website is HD 720p 16x9. Acceptable file formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv. Acceptable codecs are H.264 (MP4), MPEG-4, H.263, MPGV, WMV, DivX. Should your submission be greenlit, you will also be required to provide a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec.

2. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information about your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

3. In the event you utilize any third-party materials, such as music provided by a third-party music provider not provided by Tongal, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third-party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.

4. BY SUBMITTING A VIDEO ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

5. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of the sponsor and its client.

6. Submissions must not portray the sponsor or its client in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with the sponsor and its client.

7. By submitting to this project, you acknowledge that your work may become subject to public voting on the Tongal site. Public voting may be used to help the project sponsor and its client determine the final rank order.

8. Videos must be in the English language or subtitled.

9. Limit 1 submission per member, per phase.

10. You must be at least eighteen (18) years or older to enter.

11. The sponsor and its client reserve the right to repost the contest.

12. The sponsor and its client will be entitled to reasonable revisions on the finished videos without providing additional compensation. Remember it's easier to re-edit than re-shoot so try to get as much coverage as possible.

13. In addition to the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment, greenlit Video creators MUST also provide Talent, Location, Music (or other) Releases for all assets appearing in their Videos, as well as a photograph/headshot OR a copy of a photo ID for all On-camera Talent releases.

14. See OFFICIAL RULES for additional contest information, terms and conditions. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these requirements and the Official Rules, the terms and conditions of these requirements shall prevail.
