Create a TV Commerial featuring real people singing the "Band-Aid® Stuck on Me" jingle to encourage more people to use Band-Aid® Brand Adhesive Bandages for themselves and loved ones.
“Celebrate the trials and not just the triumphs.”
If you read that and thought, “Yasssss!” then you know the value of living life to the fullest: taking on new adventures and challenging yourself to try new things, be it new recipes, new sports, or even new art or home improvement projects. You accept that with these new activities come the possibility of new cuts, bumps, and bruises; that’s just part of participating in all of life’s moments, both big and small.
And you also know that Band-Aid® is there for you when you get scratched on a hike; knick your knuckle perfecting your julienne technique on some carrots; or get a blister from a long day of hammering your new deck into place.
Maybe the Band-Aid® jingle – that familiar classic – even pops into your head as you reach for the Band-Aid® box, converging with calming memories of mom gently pressing a Band-Aid® over a skinned knee or elbow in childhood. If so, you’re not alone: the Band-Aid® jingle – written by none other than Barry Manilow – is a beloved jingle that brings memories of comfort, care, and healing to people nationwide.
And that’s where your skills as a filmmaker come in. Band-Aid® wants the Tongal community to give the classic Band-Aid® jingle a new spin in a fun and engaging way, featuring real, diverse, multi-generational people singing about how they’re stuck on Band-Aid® – because Band-Aid® is stuck on them.
Create one (1) 30-second Video (with a 15-second cutdown) that features a multi-cultural and diverse group of real people singing the lyrics to the classic Band-Aid® jingle.
Your Video should feature engaged, happy, real everyday people representing a broad range of ages and ethnicities. You may change, edit, or re-compose the original jingle music in any way you like, but you MUST use the original lyrics.
Your Video and cutdown should be a montage of people singing the jingle. You are encouraged to interpret the core Band-Aid® theme “Band-Aid®’s stuck on me” in any fun, playful, authentic, inspiring, and energetic way you see fit. Your Video should feature enthusiastic people of various ages and ethnicities singing the jingle lyrics while performing different activities with Band-Aid® Brand bandages stuck on them.
The Band-Aid® jingle will be available to you in the Assets Tab. You are free to remix, re-compose, and/or re-record the music to your liking, but you must use the original lyrics:
I am stuck on Band-Aid® Brand, ‘cause Band-Aid®’s stuck on me.
I am stuck on Band-Aid® Brand, ‘cause Band-Aid®’s stuck on me.
‘Cause they hold on tight, no matter what, on fingers, toes, and knees…
I am stuck on Band-Aid® Brand, ‘cause Band-Aid® helps heal me!
NOTE: You must specify in your Pitch if you are going to alter the jingle music.
NOTE: The 30-second Video and 15-second cutdown are all due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
NOTE: This project has an extended pre-production and approvals process built into the Video Phase timeline. The Pitch Winner's required storyboards will go through a review process during this pre-production approval stage.
