If you’re a filmmaker, chances are you’ve searched YouTube for equipment reviews before making your next big purchase. And if you’ve ever searched YouTube for equipment reviews, you know that a lot of them are just plain boring to watch.

Tongal is looking for an original show Concept for a series of equipment reviews for the Tongal YouTube channel. Your Concept should easily lend itself to a repeatable format that will allow any filmmaker, anywhere to jump in and create their own equipment review with gear to which they already have access. This is your chance to submit a Concept for a show you’d like to see created. As you brainstorm, consider what you would be excited to watch and what would make the show stand out. Get creative, have fun, and submit your Concept!

The goal of this project is to source THREE (3) original production equipment review show Concepts. Your Concept must be repeatable across a series and explain the structure of each episode, describe what goes into an episode, how the review will be presented, what makes your format stand out, etc.

We are looking for: Concepts that will appeal to filmmakers and production enthusiasts, but will also be entertaining to a more general audience.

PHASE 1: CONCEPT– Submit your Concept for the Tongal YouTube Show Concept Project:

• Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less that conveys your Concept

• Treatment (Optional)

-- Target Audience: Tongalers, Filmmakers, production enthusiasts

-- Exposure: The Tongal Social channels

This project will be worth a total of $750 and consist of one (1) Concept phase. Three (3) Concept winners will receive $250 each. If any winning Concept goes on to be produced into a series for the Tongal YouTube channel we’ll award you an additional bonus of $250.

Ownership: Please note that, like all other Tongal projects, all rights to your Concept will become the sole property of Tongal upon submission. However, for this project, if your Concept is not selected as a winner, you will retain all rights to your entry.

Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

1. Unless provided otherwise, all work must be your own original creation and free of any copyrighted material. You shall provide detailed information of your work regarding the source, the creator and background information as requested by Tongal.

2. In the event you utilize any third party materials, you must obtain full written license and consent from the owner of such third party materials and provide such license and consent forms to Tongal.

3. BY SUBMITTING A CONCEPT ENTRY, YOUR SUBMISSION IMMEDIATELY BECOMES THE SOLE PROPERTY OF TONGAL OR ITS ASSIGNEES – SEE OFFICIAL RULES FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES. YOU MAY NOT PUBLICLY SHARE OR PUBLISH YOUR SUBMISSION IN ANY MANNER AND YOU MAY NOT POST OR UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION TO ANY WEBSITE OR VIDEO HOSTING SITE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE OR VIMEO), WITHOUT THE PRIOR EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT OF TONGAL.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR ENTRY IN THE PROJECT.

4. Submissions cannot contain any profanity, offensive language, nudity or otherwise objectionable material, the determination of which is solely at the discretion of Sponsor.

5. Submissions must not portray Sponsor in a negative way, the determination of which will solely reside with Sponsor.

 6. Submissions must be in the English language or subtitled.

7. Limit 5 submissions per member, per Phase.

8. You must be at least thirteen (13) years or older to enter.

9. In the event that fewer than 50 Concepts are received, the Sponsor reserves the right to repost the contest for up to fourteen (14) days at their discretion.

10. In addition to the judging criteria stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, Concepts will be evaluated on how well you satisfy the factors contained in the Project Objectives pages, in the judges’ sole discretion.

11.Concept creators MUST also provide the standard Tongal W-9, Winner Affidavit, and IP Assignment to claim your prize.
