WWE RAW Share Your Sign Video Project
Video
05/04/20 - 05/07/20

Shoot a simple time-lapse video as you create an amazing and outrageous fan sign for WWE RAW, using all that poster board and snarky wit you've got lying around.

For fans of WWE RAW, part of the fun is the wild wrestling athletics and jaw dropping craziness of what happens inside the ring, but part of the appeal is the crowd itself. All those other fans, covered in warpaint, cheering, jeering, wearing ridiculous t-shirts, and waving wild signs - that's how you know it's RAW. The home-made signs are a real highlight too. They're outrageous, bad-ass, clever, hilarious, and sometimes just totally random. You see everything from "If Cena wins, we riot" to "Brock Lesner is ticklish."

To harness the fan passions behind this, USA wants you to create your own outrageous, in-your-face, eye-catching poster, and make a short time-lapse video of its creation. Get out the poster board, the magic markers, and whatever craft supplies you've got, and see if you can stand out from the crowd. There's plenty of inspiration on the internet, and USA is looking to select at least nine time-lapse video submissions, and we'd encourage you to submit multiple videos, so you have plenty of opportunities here.

Your video should be 30 seconds long, and mostly time-lapse, but we also want to see a final wide shot of you holding up your poster for at least 5 seconds, and a still picture of your poster. Be as elaborate as you want to be with the sign - but keep the video simple! The final videos will be edited together as a compilation video by an editor. Also, check out this blog post for some tips and tricks on how to best film yourself at home.

NOTE: Our priority is to make sure everyone is safe, and along with that, we’re working really hard to keep people working during this strange time. Our advice would be to submit only if you feel you can do something within the anticipated timeline that ensures everyone's safety given today's reality.

DELIVERABLES:

  • One :30 video (16x9) - Your video should end with a 5 second wide shot of you holding up your poster.
  • One high-quality still image of your final poster

EXPOSURE: Broadcast and social media

TONE: Entertaining, exciting, hilarious, outrageous, unfiltered, rebellious, and wild.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Your video CANNOT show any visible third-party logos, or merchandise from other IP or franchises, including trademarked or copyrighted materials like toys, books, posters, games, clothing, and shoes. The most frequent issue we see is logos on clothing or logos on technology (like laptops, TVs, etc.) in the background, so check for that.
  • You video CANNOT use any music, or sound effects.
  • You MUST hold your sign against a pretty clean background; find a clean wall somewhere in the house.
  • You CANNOT use any photos of WWE superstars on your poster board.
  • Safety is a top priority. Avoid showing people reenacting wrestling moves or trying to wrestle themselves.
  • You should focus your posters on CURRENT Raw superstars, not just Legends.
  • Consider creating a poster that pays tribute to individual WWE RAW Superstars.
  • DON'T include any expletives, and AVOID graphically violent or sexual images, and overtly political subject matter. If you have a question about something the blurs the lines, ask in the forum.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your submission.

  • VIDEO (REQUIRED): Submit a time-lapse video up to :30 in length. Your video should be 16x9.

  • STILL (REQUIRED): Submit a high-quality still of your final poster.

The 9 most compelling submissions will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive a $500 payment for their video. There's a strong chance USA may pick more than 9 videos/posters, so we encourage you to submit multiple creations.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once individual Videos are submitted, filmmakers will enter Revisions. During this phase, filmmakers may be asked to perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.
