Valley of the Boom Video Concepts
Concept
05/23/18 - 05/29/18

Tell us your Concept for a suite of Videos to support National Geographic’s upcoming six-part limited series, Valley of the Boom, about the 90s dot-com era.

Valley of the Boom, to be released on the National Geographic Channel early 2019, covers the explosive, game changing emergence of Silicon Valley through the 2001 dot-com bust.  It will document the larger than life characters who experienced the rise, fall, and re-birth of tech as we’ve come to know it.  This is the story of the Northern Californian technology revolution. It’s the story of how an industry sea-change defined the modern-day venture capital market and churned out millionaires overnight. Valley of the Boom will give you a peek behind the curtain and reveal some of the real stories of friendships, rivalries, successes, failures – all told with unparalleled access to the most iconic figures in the tech world.

We’re looking for exciting, creative concepts for a suite of videos to support the release of Valley of the Boom.  The ultimate goal is to increase awareness and drive tune-in for the show.

Keep in mind that this is not your standard documentary or scripted show - we're talking a pretty unconventional series with a unique and compelling brand of storytelling.

So, think outside the box in terms of your video concepts!  You may have seen our other similarly named project asking for more general marketing ideas :), but this one is specifically for VIDEOS. And Concepts aren't an idea for a one-off video, but should rather be a repeatable framework for multiple videos.

--Tone:  Buzzworthy, contemporary, relevant, unexpected, motivational, thought-provoking

--Target Audience:  Adults 25-54, those who are interested in creative storytelling.
