Produce a fresh, fun, and catchy electronic musical remix video using sounds and voices from the iconic series The Office.
***The pitch phase has been reopened and will now close Thursday, November 2nd at 12:00 PM PT.***
Ever since we were first introduced to the Scranton-based staff of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in 2005, The Office has become one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time. To engage the show's global fandom and get them excited to rewatch the series on Peacock, we're looking for one creator to edit together an electronic remix using sound bites and clips from the series. The idea is to remix and splice sounds and voices from episodes of The Office to create a new, catchy, sharable tune. Check out this example to get a sense of what we're going for.
Since you'll need to create the electronic remix using clips from the show, editors will need to sharpen their ears when sourcing material. You have a nice range of creative freedom here, as The Office is full of musically-inclined episodes. For example, you could take a number of samples from the karaoke scene, CPR, Andy being musical, Kevin with his band, Michael screaming "NO," and Dwight being Dwight. One important call-out: you can't use any copyrighted music as a part of your remix, so stay away from any recognizable songs.
For your sample video, please create a :15-:30 remix that shows off your musical editing skills and gives us an idea of how you plan to approach the video. While the client will provide the greenlit filmmaker with official footage to incorporate into the final video, for the purposes of the pitch, use clips from the show that you can source online (there are lots!). HERE is The Office's official YouTube page.

HELPFUL REFERENCE VIDEOS FOR INSPIRATION/TONE:
In order to be considered, include the below materials in your submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery. All Pitches remain private, even after a Pitch is selected, and Tongal strives to have Pitch selections made by the end of the Evaluation period, but additional time may be required by the Sponsor, depending on any number of factors.
The most compelling pitch will be greenlit by the Sponsor, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal, typically included with the project timeline.
