Edit a suite of scintillating and scandalous supplementary YouTube content for Temptation Island's YouTube Channel.

Temptation Island is a social experiment with steamy stakes, and it's the kind of sun-kissed guilty pleasure that's perfect for audiences who are about to dive into their own wild summer fun - but Season 2 is still a ways out, so in the meantime, Temptation Island fans are looking to YouTube for more of what they crave; recaps, character highlights, memorable scenes, comedy supercuts, etc.  Now, USA is asking for an editor to help create more of this supplemental video clip content for the YouTube channel, using footage from the original episodes, in three different video formats.

USA will provide original masters for all 11 episodes, as well as episode descriptions, branding guidelines, and some story direction, in addition to the three deliverable formats outlined below. We just need you to do a stellar job putting it all together, to give fans another fix of the temptation they crave.

DELIVERABLES: As currently planned, the full suite would include the following:

  • (11) 2-3 minute Episode Recap Videos – These videos will be derived from the masters of individual episodes from Season 1. Each will serve as a lightly branded summary of the episode for fan’s reference on YouTube.
  • (1) 7-11 minute Season Recap Videos - In addition to the individual episode recaps, this will serve as a recap for Season 1 as a whole.
  • (5) 2-3 minute Character or Couple Supercut – Tracing the individual journeys of different characters and couples on the show, USA will help you select the best ones to showcase, and these videos will lift clips from the series that trace their best moments through the show. Videos will incorporate more Temptation Island branding for title cards and text.

Character/Couple Supercut:

Kady/Dr. Johnny Couple Journey

Brittney Character Journey

Katheryn Character Journey

Nicole's Character Journey

Shari Character Journey

  • (5) 3-4 minute Top 10 List Videos – Similar to a supercut or listicle, this will be a short highlight reel that pulls together 10 memorable moments, lines, or gags, etc. that connect to a specific theme, like "Top Nightvision Moments." Videos will incorporate more Temptation Island branding for title cards and text.

    Top 10 List Videos:

    Top 10 Night Vision Moments

    Top 10 Bon Fire Highlights

Top 10 "Bro-Ments" aka funny bro-y scenes between guys

Top 10 Sisterhood Scenes aka funny scenes between girls

Top 10 Wettest Moments (wild/sexy scenes in pools, ocean, hot tub)

TIMELINE: There will be a rolling schedule with continuous weekly deliveries, and roughly two videos delivered every week for about 12 weeks after an editor is selected. For the full project timeline please see the Assets tab.

EXPOSURE: All videos will be produced for the USA Network YouTube Channel and will belong to its Temptation Island Playlist. Please note that USA Network content is only available in the US and US Territories only, and outside of North America it will be difficult for you to engage with this project.

TARGET AUDIENCE:  The demographic skews female, but has a broad audience in the 18-34 age range.

TONE: The show is a steamy guilty pleasure for many, and we expect this supporting material to follow the same tone. Viewers are excited to watch couples navigate the personal perils of temptation island, and we would like this project to follow through on the salacious yet playful themes of the show.

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • You will be required to submit a sample 2-3 minute Recap Video for your Pitch Submission, using footage from the premiere episode of Season 1, Episode 101.
  • All footage used in your videos must come from the assets provided within this brand guide provided by USA. You should also follow the guidance within the brand bible for any design elements that you incorporate into the video (i.e. lower-thirds, text, etc.).
  • Every video must end with a simple title card with motion graphics that provides a blank slate for the USA to incorporate YouTube action buttons like Subscribe, More Info, and More Clips.

Temptation Island is a social experiment with steamy stakes. Four couples at a crossroads in their relationship put their love to the test by giving "single life" a try. At a tropical island resort, they take a break from each other while living in separate houses with sexy singles to discover if there is another partner with whom they are more compatible. In the end, will the couples return home together, leave with one of the island's "tempters," or break up and go home alone?

While it may sound crazy, Season 1 proved that this social experiment was ultimately fruitful, but there was TONS OF DRAMA along the way. Take a look at some of the existing YouTube content:

Creatively, the recap videos should be straightforward as a format. The Character & Couple Supercuts and the Top 10 Videos should then basically pull relevant and especially entertaining clips that match the topic of each video. Give us the most gossiped about moments. Let's see the craziest come-ons from season 1. The top night-visions scenes. Ask, how did these two even end up together?!? You won't have to figure it all out now though - you'll be briefed more if you are selected.

NOTE: USA Network content is only available in the US and US Territories only.

In order to be considered for this project you must include the below materials in your Pitch submission. For examples of effective Pitches, check out this gallery.

  • SAMPLE RECAP VIDEO (REQUIRED): Submit ONE 2-3 minute sample Recap video based on the information provided above and utilizing the provided assets (download the brandguide with its associated assets here). For music, Tongal has partnered with three premiere music providers that you can use for your Pitch: Jingle Punks, Killer Tracks and Epidemic Sound, any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into this Pitch. These providers will NOT be available for the final videos (more info on that below).

If it's helpful to you, we've provided a Treatment template, which you can find here.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive payments to help create the Video Suite. Please note the payment of the Pitch award is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal. Please see the full payment schedule in the Assets tab.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once individual Videos are submitted, Editors will enter Revisions. During this phase, editors will perform reasonable edits on their Videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

MUSIC:  You will be required to use the USA-approved music provider Frequency to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from this provider is available only to the Pitch Winners at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. Pitch Winners will be provided with a log-in and access by a Tongal producer once they are selected.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide all project files, editing sequences and a 1080p .mov master file, using a ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec in order to submit final payment. You will be responsible for the costs associated the hard drive (if necessary) and shipping.
