Submit spine-tingling, eye-gouging - oops, we mean eye-catching - graphic designs incorporating the Tongal logo that will be featured as cover art on Tongal social channels for the month of October 2020.

Social cover art: It's the big banner that immediately greets visitors on your social page. It says, "This is who I am and what I am all about." Which is exactly why we want to feature fresh graphic designs from the Tongal community on our social channels. Because creators like YOU are what Tongal is all about.

The goal of this project is to highlight the incredible design and illustration talents of Tongal creators by featuring one community member's original artwork as cover art each month across Tongal's social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. All mediums and all styles welcome. And because the designs submitted in this project will proudly be on display during the month of October, we're looking for you to give us your spookiest, your bloodiest, your most ghoulish designs that feature, in some way, the Tongal logo.

To be considered, designers should create and submit one sample design for Twitter (1500x500, JPG or PNG). Should you get the greenlight, you may be asked to make reasonable revisions to your design before creating versions for all the remaining intended channels.

Submissions in this 'Always On' project will be reviewed on a monthly basis, so there will be lots of opportunities to be featured throughout the year. Go ahead and knock our socks off!

DELIVERABLES: Five total deliverables; a single design optimized for each channel:

  • Facebook: 820x312, JPG or PNG
  • Twitter: 1500x500, JPG or PNG
  • YouTube: 2560x1440 (web and mobile safe 1546x423), JPG or PNG
  • LinkedIn: 1536x768, JPG or PNG (note: only the edges of the design may be visible)
  • Instagram: 1080x1080, JPG or PNG
  • Layered design files for final delivery

TIMELINE: For the full project timeline please see the Assets section.

EXPOSURE:

  • The official cover art during the month of October 2020 for Tongal social channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • A special feature on Tongal's Instagram feed in October 2020
  • We plan to award a MINIMUM of 1 Design each month and may choose to purchase more if submissions are outstanding!

TARGET AUDIENCE: The Tongal Community and creators across the Internet - predominantly writers, filmmakers, directors, animators, editors, and producers

EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:

  • Designs submitted this month MUST be horror or Halloween-themed. You can go cute, you can go weird, you can go straight-up terrifying...just don't skimp on the seasonally appropriate design motifs.
  • Designs must incorporate the Tongal logo (which you may access here). How that happens is entirely up to your imagination. We are open to both subtle and bold approaches as to how you utilize the logo.
  • No matter how you incorporate it, the Tongal logo must be legible to the viewer.
  • The brand colors of the Tongal logo must not be altered. Please think about how your design can complement whichever iteration of the logo you choose.
  • AVOID text or type that isn’t related to the T-O-N-G-A-L of the Tongal logo.
  • All work MUST be original, and should NOT include or reference any other existing IP. Any persons, places or things rendered should be of the artist’s own creation and should not be referential of other existing properties.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your submission.

  • DESIGN (REQUIRED): One 1500x500 sample of your proposed design, JPG or PNG.

  • NOTES (Optional): Any additional information or artists' statement you'd like to provide.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLES (Optional): Give us any of your personal or professional social links so we can tag you when we post to the relevant channels.

The most compelling design will be greenlit, and upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment, the responsible creator will receive funding to deliver all versions of the design.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS: Once the Design Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Designers will perform reasonable edits on their designs according to the Sponsor’s feedback.

ASSET DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: You must also provide layered design files in order to submit final payment.
