Create a suite of up to four (4) 30-90 second How-To Videos that demystify Rogaine® Foam for men.

There’s no way around it: some of us are going to have hereditary hair loss. In fact, some of us are already showing signs of it. Acknowledging your hair loss, even to yourself, can be difficult, but putting it off won’t do you any favors. For 9 out of 10 guys, the sooner you begin using Rogaine® Foam to fight hereditary hair loss, the better your chances of keeping the hair you already have and even growing back some of what you’ve lost.

But just knowing something is beneficial for you doesn’t mean you have the first clue how to go about doing it; that’s where the Tongal community comes in. Rogaine® is looking to create How-To Videos that cover everything you need to know about Rogaine® Foam, from application to maintaining your personal style.

The goal of this project is to create up to four (4) 30-90 second Videos that demystify Rogaine® Foam and make it approachable for men 25 – 34 who are showing signs of hereditary hair loss.

What those Videos cover and how they share that message is up to you. We want to hear your take on everything from how to apply Rogaine® Foam, to making Rogaine®  Foam a part of your daily routine, to how to maintain your style, to convincing a friend in need to try Rogaine® Foam – or whatever other how-to Ideas you have to share.

What we are NOT looking for is your standard, step-by-step how-to Video. We want exciting content that feels fresh and entertaining; that’s relatable and accessible; and that gives the entire how-to genre a much-needed makeover.

NOTE:

  • If live action: You must use no more than ONE actor and no more than one camera set up across all Videos, including background and VO talent.
  • If animation: You must use no more than ONE voiceover talent.

--Key Marketing Messages:

  • Rogaine® is clinically proven to regrow hair in 9 out of 10 men.

--Target Audience:

  • Men 25 – 34 years old who could benefit from Men’s Rogaine®

--Executional Mandatories:

  • Your Videos should focus on hereditary hair loss only; do not show any other types of hair loss.
  • Your Videos should clearly show how best to use Rogaine® Foam and how to make it a part of your daily routine.
  • Your Videos should show the ease of use and great results that can be achieved from correct and regular use of Rogaine® Foam
  • Do NOT show any uses or conditions excluded by the product label.
  • Do NOT make derogatory comments or claims towards women.
  • Do NOT disparage anyone’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or culture.
  • No profanity, nudity, or use of illegal substances.
  • Do not show any competing products or any other company brands/logos or copyrighted materials (including on clothing and in the background).

--Tone: Fun, witty, affirmative, confident, humorous, inclusive, educational, informative.

--Exposure: Rogaine®’s YouTube page

--Product: Product should be featured in your Video. The Sponsor will provide Product to the Pitch winner.

This Project will be worth a total of $11,000 and consists of two (2) Phases: a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a suite of Videos showing how to use Rogaine® Foam.

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.

  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.

  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $5,000 to help create the Video.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional First Place video prize  of $6,000. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The Pitch winner from the Pitch Phase will create up to four (4) 30-90 second Videos based upon their winning Pitch.

--Video Phase Payout: Winners of the Video Phase will earn the following prizes: 1st place $6,000.

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with two premiere music providers: Audioblocks and Epidemic Sound. Either of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using these music providers, click on either of the provider’s names above.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won (up to $500). That’s a potential $300 in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
