Create three 60-second videos (and three 15-second cutdowns) to inform consumers about the features and benefits of the Reassurance Plan in an engaging way.

When was the last time you had your teeth cleaned? How many of those checkup reminder cards are stuffed into your junk drawer? Do you consider “avoiding candy” a viable dentist alternative?

Well if you’ve been putting it off because you’re worried about the cost or hassle of getting a new dental plan, fear no more. Reassurance Dental has you covered. And for only $14.95 a month, they’ll cover your whole family with their awesome national network of more than 132,000 dental practice locations. There’s no easier way to look after your teeth and your wallet!

Now, Reassurance wants your help spreading the word. They’re looking for one talented filmmaker to create three different videos (and corresponding cutdowns), each targeting a different demographic: Millenials, Gen X’ers and Baby Boomers. Check the objectives tab to find out more!

The goal of this project is to create three 60-second videos (and three 15-second cutdowns) to inform consumers about the features and benefits of the Reassurance Plan in an engaging way.

Reassurance wants one filmmaker to produce three different videos, each conveying a primary marketing message tailored for a different target demographic:

  1. Millenials: Reassurance is Easy, Fast & Simple!
  2. Gen X’ers with families: Cover everyone in your household for only $14.95 a month!
  3. Baby Boomers: Reassurance has a great national network and is 100% Guaranteed.

Please familiarize yourself with the benefits of Reassurance’s Dental Plan by visiting their website before you submit your Pitch. Reassurance is looking for videos that will convey the following information in an entertaining and engaging way:

Our product is a dental discount card. This differs from insurance in a number of ways:

  • No waiting period - get it today, use it tomorrow
  • No exclusions - covers all procedures, even cosmetics
  • Shared coverage - One price covers you and everyone in your household
  • Free benefits - Vision and prescription drug discounts for FREE
  • No limits - there is no cap on how much money you can save with this plan

This last point is the most nuanced. Individual dental insurance is often a bad deal. You'll pay anywhere from $40 - 60 / month, and you'll get capped at $1,000 in maximum coverage. Accounting for a deductible, it's a pretty raw deal. With our card, you only pay $14.95, you get all the benefits above, and there's no limit to how much you can save, and there's no deductible. Best of all, our plan relies on the Aetna Dental Access network with over 130,000 dentists around the US.

NOTE: The THREE 60-second video and THREE corresponding 15-second cut-downs are both due at the close of the Video Phase.  Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

PHASE 1: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video using:

  • Text (REQUIRED): 500 characters or less synopsizing how you plan to approach and execute this Video.

  • Links (REQUIRED): To your previous video work. Please specify your role (producer, director, cinematography, etc.) and DO NOT INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR SHOWREEL. Please link to individual videos.

  • Script (Optional): This should include dialogue from the video you intend to create.

  • Treatment (Optional): A detailed narrative description of what's going to happen in the video.

  • Storyboards (Optional): Additional concept art, storyboards, shot list, anything that helps get your point across.

  • Headshots/Casting Boards (Optional): Casting notes or concepts, headshots of actors, etc.

  • Pitch Video (Optional): This is your opportunity to show us what you're capable of. Consider submitting a Pitch video in which you tell the Sponsor what they can expect should they choose your Pitch. Also, test videos, animatics, etc. are welcome.

The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $10,000 to help create the Videos.  Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.  So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $15,0000 First Place video prize. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out Erik Beck’s winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The winner from the Pitch Phase will create THREE 60-second Videos based upon their winning Pitch.

NOTE: The THREE 60-second video and THREE corresponding 15-second cut-downs are both due at the close of the Video Phase.  Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.

--Video Phase Payout: Winner of the Video Phase will earn the following prize: 1st place $15,000.

--Music:  Tongal has partnered with two premiere music providers: Audioblocks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.

If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form. If you obtain music from other catalog providers, you must purchase the appropriate license at your own expense and submit it with our Music Release Form when you turn in your Video paperwork.

--Referral: Any Tongal member who refers one of the winning Video creators in this Project using the Tongal “Invite Friends” functionality will receive a referral fee equal to 5% of the amount won. That’s a potential $500 (up to $500 per place) in bonus cash just for telling all of your talented friends about this Project! Check out more about our Referral Program in FAQ.
