Quick Hits: Unreal Engine Artist
Pitch
12/13/22 - 12/21/22

In this Quick Hits project, we are very specifically looking for an 3D artist who is experienced with the current Unreal Engine platform, and who is immediately available THIS WEEK, to render LEGO character and vehicle assets, as part of a production for a LEGO marketing project.

We are looking for someone who is experienced with the current Unreal Engine, and who is available immediately, to jump into an ongoing project and render upwards of 40 character and vehicle assets at a resolution of 8000 pixels (300 DPI) for some LEGO marketing materials. This is obviously a rush project, and the full scope of your work must take place and be completed within the timespan of a week.

More information will be provided upon completion of an NDA. Right now, we're just looking for your portfolio and resume working within the Unreal Engine platform, specifically Unreal Engine 5. Ultimately, budget and compensation will be negotiable based on the scope of work and your level of experience.

For any questions or other project updates, check out the Project Forum.

DELIVERABLES: There are upwards of 40 character and vehicle assets at a resolution of 8000 pixels high (300 DPI).

By participating in this project, creators acknowledge that the Sponsor is under no obligation to greenlight a bid. Though most projects on our platform do move forward with a greenlit bid, we will notify you in the event the Sponsor decides not to fund any bids via the project forum. Regardless of the result, all submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Sponsor and the project team.

In order to be considered for this project, you must include the below materials in your pitch submission. For examples of effective pitches, check out this gallery.

  • TEXT (REQUIRED): Up to 500 characters synopsizing how you plan to approach and produce the content listed out in the Deliverables.

  • PORTFOLIO (REQUIRED): Please include a portfolio of previous work samples.

  • LINKS (REQUIRED): To your previous Unreal Engine work.

The most compelling pitch will be greenlit, and the responsible creator will then receive an email from Tongal producers detailing next steps. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification that a selection has been announced. To ensure you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.

Creators who’ve been selected will receive funding upon completing the Winner Affidavit and the IP Assignment. Payment of the pitch funds is subject to a payment schedule determined by Tongal.

BUILDING YOUR TEAM: Tongal supports inclusivity in all of our productions and strongly encourages you to hire diverse talent for your team. To find staff & crew in your area, check out these resources and partners.

REVISION REQUIREMENTS & RESOURCES: Once the Rendering Phase has closed, the greenlit submitters will enter the Revisions Phase. Filmmakers will perform reasonable edits on their videos according to the Sponsor’s feedback. Check out our Filmmaker Resource Portal to access helpful post-production resources like Text-Safe Guides for different platforms, Project File Organization Tutorial, Export Presets, and Captioning services.
