Create a rough trailer for Southeastern Guide Dogs’ short film about a tiny puppy named Pip who’s determined to be an elite guide dog!
Pip is an amazing little puppy determined to be an elite guide dog – even if she’s smaller than all the other puppies in her class.
Check out Pip's story here.
Just like Pip, we have big dreams for the future. We want to see Pip’s film played far and wide. We know this little puppy’s story has the potential to impact thousands of people, spreading the word about Southeastern Guide Dogs and encouraging support for this great cause. But in order to do that, we need a great trailer.
Therefore, we’re looking to you to create a rough yet compelling :30 trailer using footage from the short film, which you can download here. You should also explain in your treatment how you’d do a :15 and a :60 cut as well (but you don’t have to cut those yourself).
You can use scratch VO and/or on-screen text in your rough trailer. We’d like you to mention Southeastern Guide Dogs and their mission (linked below) early on in the trailer, but beyond that, it’s up to you to decide how to tease this story in :30 seconds.
The goal of this project is to create a compelling :30 rough trailer, with notes on an equally-compelling :15 and :60 version, to promote Southeastern Guide Dogs’ short film Pip. You should use footage from the short film to cut your rough trailer.
