The goal of this project is to create a positive and empowering 30-second Video that drives Moms with children behind the growth curve to use PediaSure.
If your grandmother had some miracle food that she insisted! would make you grow up big and strong, she wasn’t the only one. Generations of conventional wisdom and old wives’ tales have propped up dietary solutions ranging from canned pineapple to cocoa, meatloaf, and plain old milk. But for many Moms, seeing their child grow up big and strong is a real concern because their kid is falling behind in height and/or weight. These Moms need real results. That’s where PediaSure comes in.
A child grows up to five times by the age of four, and if a child is behind the growth curve during this critical period, every day they lack the correct nutrients is a missed opportunity to get them back on track. A normal diet alone may not be enough. For Moms, it’s a tough spot to be in, and they'll try things like extra food servings, calorically dense food, and even multivitamin pills. PediaSure, however, is the clinically proven solution that will help kids who are behind the growth curve catch up. It’s not a meal replacement, and it’s not just filling in nutritional gaps – PediaSure is an everyday nutritional supplement for children who need more than the 3 meals a day they’re getting. With PediaSure, Moms can see results in just eight weeks with 2 bottles a day. Now, let’s make PediaSure the sole solution for Moms who have children behind the growth curve.
This project is intended for broadcast television usage, so check out the details below…
The goal of this project is to create a positive and empowering 30-second Video that drives Moms with children behind the growth curve to use PediaSure.
PediaSure is clinically proven to help kids grow with 2 bottles per day in 8 weeks, and that point of differentiation should be a major focus of the Video. Additionally, while the Video should introduce the “problem” of having a child who is behind on the growth, it should focus more on the “solution” of PediaSure. It's also important that PediaSure not come to the rescue; it should be Mom who finds the solution.
NOTE: This project will require an Animatic/Production Phase before the Video Phase, and Pitch-winners will be required to create an Animatic or Test Video that will be delivered within 10 days of the close of the Pitch Phase. This Animatic or Test Video will then be tested by the sponsor before one of the two Pitch-winners is selected for the Video Phase.
--Key Marketing Messages:
--Target Audience:
--Executional Mandatories:
o For setting up context, think of a skinny child, and a child pushing away a plate
o For positive outcomes, show a happy, healthy child, and think strong – strength implies that and tests well (i.e. a child on monkey bars)
o A plate with healthy food from all food groups is a great reference for what can be found in every bottle of PediaSure (an asset is available to filmmakers with this reference in the Video phase)

This Project will be worth a total of $67,000 and consists of 4 Phases: an Idea Phase, a Pitch Phase, a Production Phase, and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully as well as the Official Rules.
PHASE 1: STORY – Tell us your Idea for a 30-second Video that drives Moms with children behind the growth curve to use PediaSure in 140 characters or less. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The winning Idea creators will receive $500 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for the Video, if it is based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the Video, you will receive $2,750 total) – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.
PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute an Animatic or Test Video based on the winning Idea from the previous Phase using:
The two most compelling Pitches will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $7,000 to help create the Animatic or Test Video. Additionally, upon submitting an Animatic or Test Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitches, the Pitch winners will also be GUARANTEED $3,000 at the close of the Production Phase. For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 3: PRODUCTION - The Winners of the Pitch Phase will each create a 30-second Animatic or Test Video based on their winning pitch from the previous phase, which will then enter a testing period with the sponsor. All Animatics and Test Videos will remain private.
If, after the testing period, your Animatic or Test Video is selected, you will be GUARANTEED an additional $45,000 at the close of the Video Phase (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners).
PHASE 3: VIDEO – The Winner of the Production Phase will create a 30-second Video for broadcast television based on their Animatic or Test Video from the previous phase. The 30-second Video is due at the close of the Video Phase.
NOTE: There will be 2 rounds of revisions in post-production of the Video Phase.
--Video Phase Payout: Winner of the Video Phase will earn $45,000 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winners, as applicable).
--Music: Tongal has partnered with two premiere music providers: Audioblocks and Epidemic Sound. Any of which can be used to source music for your Video submission to this Project. Music from these providers is available to registered Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Submissions to this Project and will not require a separate Music Release Form. To learn more about using each of these music providers, click on any of the provider’s names above.
If you are selected as a winner and choose to use custom/original music, you must fill out and submit our Music Release Form.
