The goal of this project is to create an engaging and relatable 30-second Video with a 15-second cut-down that demonstrates OxiClean White Revive as a better alternative to Chlorine Bleach for keeping white clothes looking great.
Did you know that almost all white clothes have a care label that recommends against using Chlorine Bleach? Seriously, even the pure white stuff like socks and t-shirts. What's more, apparently there's a unique triangle symbol on care labels that means "use non-chlorine bleach when needed." When we saw that symbol, we just thought it was a cool design... but then we understood last weekend's laundry mishaps. Unfortunately, we're not alone. Most consumers have no idea, and because of that, they don't know that there's a solution - a better option than Chlorine Bleach - and it's OxiClean White Revive.
OxiClean is America’s #1 bestselling versatile stain remover and is well known as a high performance brand, in part thanks to famous pitchman Billy Mays and his signature passion for the “miracle cleanser” in a string of infomercials starting in the 1990’s. OxiClean’s since grown over the years from a single product to a complete line of stain fighting laundry solutions… which brings us to White Revive.
OxiClean White Revive is designed to be a better alternative to bleach without the worry of chlorine spills or damage to colors. It is not only safe on colors, the product whitens 40% better than bleach, and has OxiClean’ s tough stain fighting power to deep clean and remove the hard to get out stains. The product revives dingy white items and brings them back to new, and as a major plus, you never have to worry about chlorine smell either.
Now, the OxiClean team has turned to Tongal to show consumers how effective White Revive can be, so check out more details below…
The goal of this project is to create a engaging and relatable 30-second Video with a 15-second cut-down that demonstrates OxiClean White Revive as a better alternative to Chlorine Bleach for keeping white clothes looking great. Your Ideas and Videos should not be limited to this, but OxiClean is open to Ideas that revolve around the non-chlorine bleach insight on the care label, while also demonstrating the performance superiority of OxiClean White Revive in fabric whitening and stain fighting.
It’s important that this feel unique, and stand out both in the category, and when set against some of the infomercial-style demonstrations that OxiClean has done in the past. You should still capture the personality of the brand, and incorporate a clear demonstration of the product working on clothing.
*Additionally - It would be worth it to consider how your Idea or Video might work for both the English-language and Spanish-language markets, either through creative executions that aren’t dependent on on-screen dialog, or with an angle that could work equally well with Spanish-speaking talent. That said, this is a consideration and NOT a mandate, so don’t let it confine you.
*Filmmakers – this includes Storyboard and Script Approval, as well as Casting Approval. The Pitch Winner will be required to send Storyboards and a Script for the White Revive team to review before filming. You will also be required to present several casting options for each of the lead roles in your spot, along with your recommendations.

PHASE 1: IDEA – Tell us your Idea to demonstrate OxiClean White Revivein 140 characters or less. Remember, an Idea (What is an Idea Phase?) is not a detailed script; it is a spark of inspiration, or a distillation of what will happen in the Video. As always, Ideas should be clever and engaging. The 2 winning Idea creators will receive $250 each and a 5% one-time residual payment for the Video based on their Idea. (That means if your winning Idea is the basis for the 1st Place Video, you will receive $875 total) – see Video Phase Payout details for more information.
PHASE 2: PITCH - Submit your Pitch (What is a Pitch Phase?) convincing the Sponsor why you should be selected to execute a Video based on the winning Idea from the previous Phase using:
*NOTE: Though Script, Storyboard, and Headshots will be required of the Pitch Winner, they are not required here. That said, you may feel free to include them in your Pitch if that is helpful towards understanding the Video the you intend to make.
The most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, that filmmaker will receive $10,000 to help create the Video. Additionally, upon submitting a Video that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED payment in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch is selected and you execute your Pitch effectively in your Video submission, you will win an additional $12,500 (subject to deduction for one-time 5% residual payment to eligible Idea winners). For an example of an effective Pitch, check out The Indie Machines winning “3 Artists & 5,000 LEGOs” Pitch video. All Pitches will remain private until after the winner of the Video Phase is announced and the Project is complete.
PHASE 3: VIDEO – The Winners of the Pitch Phase will create a 30-second Video with a 15-second Cut-down. The 30-second Video and 15-second cut-down are both due at the close of the Video Phase. Please upload them as separate videos when submitting your Videos.
--Video Phase Payout: The Winner of the Video Phase will earn $12,500 (less any 5% one-time residual payments paid to the Idea winners, as applicable).
